Uplands welcomed a visit from Langur Project Penang

The International School of Penang (Uplands) recently welcomed a visit from Langur Project Penang, where a representative joined our CCA to teach students how to use our newly purchased camera traps.

Students learned how these cameras can be used to observe and study local wildlife around the school, turning them into citizen scientists while helping to monitor and appreciate the biodiversity in our surroundings.

These camera traps were purchased using funds raised by the club at the end of Term 1 through a Cookiegram fundraiser, allowing students to buy three cameras to install around campus.

It was a fun and meaningful learning experience, and we are excited to see what wildlife our students will discover!

학생들은 이 카메라를 사용하여 학교 주변의 지역 야생 동물을 관찰하고 연구하는 방법을 배웠고, 이를 시민 과학자로 만드는 동시에 주변의 생물 다양성을 모니터링하고 감상하는 데 도움을 주었습니다.
이 카메라 트랩은 1학기 말에 클럽이 쿠키그램 기금 모금 행사를 통해 모금한 기금을 사용하여 구입한 것으로, 학생들은 캠퍼스 주변에 설치할 카메라 세 대를 구입할 수 있었습니다.
재미있고 의미 있는 학습 경험이었으며, 학생들이 어떤 야생 동물을 발견할지 기대됩니다!
