2023년 4월 취역한 태국 해군의 LPD HTMS Chang에 장착할 전투체계로 스페인의 나반티아 Catiz CMS가 선정됐네요. 중국에서 건조했는데 터키 아셀산, 이스라엘 IAI와 라파엘, 유럽의 레오나르도, 탈레스 등이 경쟁했지만 중국의 업체는 끼지 못했나 봅니다. 계약금액은 9억 950만 바트(2,660만 달러)라고 하네요.

The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) recent announcement that Navantia had won a tender to install mission-critical equipment aboard the force’s Type 071E landing platform dock (LPD), HTMS Chang, will see the Spanish shipbuilder provide a combat management system (CMS), surveillance systems, fire control system, weapons systems, inertial navigation system and support equipment.

Awarded for a contract value of THB909.5 million (US$26.6 million), the original tender was announced last May, with other contenders believed to have included Aselsan, Hartech, IAI, Leonardo, Rafael and Thales.

The CATIZ functional capabilities adapt to the requirements of the platform covering both the tasks of a warship (anti-air war, anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, electronic warfare, asymmetric warfare, mine warfare and air control ) as peacetime operations (search and rescue, anti-piracy missions, territorial waters control, maritime security).

CATIZ has been successfully integrated with a large number of sensors and weapons, including guided weapons, artillery, surveillance radars, electronic warfare sensors, sonar, tactical data links and countermeasure systems. Its complexity and flexibility allow to satisfy the requirements of any client with modules tested and ready to work.
