We certainly do not wish, nor have the right to sit in judgment of anyone; but as Torah observant believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we must live by His Word and not be afraid to point out when public figures speak or behave in a way that blatantly goes against Torah. God only knows, we ALL fall short of the glory of God and are guilty of sinning (Romans 3:23) ... but we should NEVER downplay the seriousness of those sins!

Passion for Truth Ministry's Pastor Jim Staley has presented myriads of great teachings in the past, and he has led many into the truth of Torah. But lately, he has said and done some things that we find questionable. (Not to mention, he has also been indicted for fraud.)

Not only has he decided to start a "new movement" called "Christian Roots"; but he also quipped that he views his ministry as becoming bigger than that of Moses. In one of his videos he also stated he wanted to establish a Sanhedrin (Biblical court system) and implied that the Hebrew Roots movement would be left in the wilderness and that his new "Christian Roots" movement would be those who crossed the Jordan into the promised land.

Christian Roots - really? The "roots" that insist YHWH's Torah is a curse and ignores the commanded Seventh Day Sabbath and Feasts/Appointed Times while boasting the man-made "holy days" of Christmas and Easter, neither of which can be found in Scripture?....

Some of Staley's latest assertions can be seen on this 18 minute video. We'll let you discern for yourself how many things he says that sound completely off the mark or unbiblical:

• He uses the renewing of the wedding vows of a couple of his church members (Matt and Laura) to signify how God has supposedly called Passion for Truth (PFT) to unite the Northern and Southern Kingdom, and how God wants to marry the Northern Kingdom with the South.
• He claims that he officiated "the wedding of God" when he married Matt and Laura.
• He explains a vision someone had in relation to a mega-church in the 80's and claims that it didn't apply to that church but suggests it was about PFT leading a worldwide revival.
• He tells everyone of a dream he had where a turquoise jewel bursts from his chest leaving him breathless and explains how YHWH gave him a new name which Jim cannot reveal yet.
• He seems to be saying that God is using Passion for Truth and Matt and Laura as a prophetic picture of reuniting Israel. He also alludes to the idea that he is "God" in this little scenario because he "marries" the couple, and goes into all kinds of detail about all the reasons why Matt and Laura are being used by God.
• He suggests that Laura represents Esther and says they even found the Gematria of their old and new house addresses, which is proof of the things Jim is saying about them. (Should YHWH's people REALLY be using occult methods to "read into" things?)
• He prophesied that Laura was going to have a child, even though she has been "barren just like Israel".
• He starts off the whole thing talking about that vision that lady in UK had that had the star burst coming out of St. Louis.

....We challenge anyone to locate the scripture that suggests Israel will be married to itself! And to explain why "Ephraim and Judah" should become "married" - since they are BROTHERS!

Natalia says that if we go to Russia, she says they don’t have stadiums big enough, that’s how popular Passion for Truth is in Russia."
• February 9th, 2013 (Title: If my people) - "How many of you know that you can’t fit all the people that are watching right now in this room, times ten. From all over the world. You mark my words. In six months you will not be able to find a place to sit in this auditorium."
• February 9th, 2013 (Title: If my people) – "And so the Father said to me, in a very private way. A very, very supernatural way, which I won’t get into right now, is he says "Jim, Don’t mess this up, in so many words. It’s about a page and a half long. Don’t mess this up, there’s no one behind you."
• (Exact date unknown) - "So we need a quarter of a million dollars and we need the personnel, and not just any personnel, I want the top of the top, I want the best of the best because Yahweh deserves the best Levites to come back…The people that are working for pixar, the people that are working for Disney, the people that are working for Hollywood, Nashville, those are Levites, we will have them….you’re going to increase your giving to buy back the scattered Levites that have been sent to the four corners of the Earth.
