The Severest Fall Monsoon in the Wilderness (20261026)
It was the most rainy fall in our 15 years here.
We see many strong green leaves of those thorny weeds around these days, which is not common view here at this season.
Yes, many places around here affected by the rain, particularly as they are not prepared usually for this unusual level of intensity, they are very vulnerable to the situation. Some churches open their facilities for those who affected severely.
Schools closed for a few days because of those commuting students who should get through those unpaved, and unprotected roads.
But Tuba City is warmer, and less snowing/raining than the surroundings usually.
(The nearby Hopi town on the other side of the road, had flooding on their lower agriculture land.)
Our residents, and the routes within our regular commute has no problem.
It is an irony that while waiting rain, they are not prepared for it.
The concern is, due to the continuing global warming, damages will be getting more serious in coming years.
Hope we maybe able to figure out how to cope this natural change.
Wishing you the Best Mercy of God...
