첫댓글 갑자기 영어가 올라와서 불편하지요? 他者, 소외된 계층, 소수자들의 문제를 다루는 국제회의인 듯 합니다. '인물로 본 문화' 개정판 필자 가운데 한분인 재일교포 학자 서경식 선생님이 참여하시기도 하여 올려보았습니다. 다음 번 우리말로 된 팜플렛을 구해서 올리도록 하지요.
정현백 선생님의 발표 주제가 관심을 끄네요. 호미 바바도 나오고.... 그런데 글 모양새를 보고나니 국제회의 자체가 영어로만 진행될 것 같은 인상을 주는군요. 전에 같은 장소인 이대에서 했던가, 한 학술회의는 통역기도 없이 영어로만 진행을 해서 당혹스러웠습니다. 억울하면 영어를 유창하게 할 정도까지 공부해라 이 분위기였죠... ^^;;;
그렇지는 않습니다. 서경식 선생님이 보내주셨는데 외국에 계신 분들에게는 모두 영어 안내장을 보낸 듯 합니다. 회의 진행은 우리말과 영어입니다. 서 선생님 발표를 꼭 들어보라고 권하고 싶습니다.
