말씀 전파와 몰려드는 신도

1946년 6월 6일 평양에 도착하신 참아버님께서는 경창리에 방 한 칸을 얻으시고 그곳에서 기도정성을 들이면서 교회활동을 다시 시작하셨다. 그때까지 평양에는 기독교회와 독실한 기독신도들이 많이 있었다. 참아버님은 주변에서 따가운 시선으로 주시하고 있었으나 한 생명이라도 살리기 위해 말씀을 전해야 한다는 일념으로 새 식구를 찾으셨다. 종일 문밖을 내다보며 식구들이 오기를 기다리신 적이 많았다. 자기 발로 참아버님이 계신 곳으로 찾아온 사람들이 있고 또 그들을 통하여 다른 기독신도들이 모여들었다. 특히 참아버님이 도착하신 후에 참아버님에 관한 계시를 받는 사람들이 생겨났다. 영계의 인도로 독실한 신도들이 찾아온 것이다. 그래서 참아버님은 그들을 중심으로 예배를 인도하셨다. 참아버님을 위해 오래전부터 준비된 사람들이 많았으며, 그 가운데는 참아버님 탄생 전부터 참아버님을 만나기 위해 준비된 사람도 있었다. 영계는 시공을 초월하기 때문에 심정세계의 인연은 그렇게 오묘하게 맺어진 것이다. 그렇게 인연된 사람들은 참아버님의 옷자락이라도 만지고 나면 감격해 날아갈 것 같고 춤을 출 정도로 참사랑에 감화되었다. 참아버님은 노인은 물론 누가 찾아오든지 밤을 새우면서 말씀해 주셨다.

6 해방 이후 3년 동안 혼란시대가 왔습니다. 기독교 혼란, 정치계 혼란 등 혼란시대가 와서 모든 것이 자리를 못 잡는 것입니다. 기독교 자체도 주님이 오는지 뜻이 어떤지 생각이 없었습니다. 그때 재건교회니 고려파니 해서 여러 교파가 나왔습니다. 서로 자기들이 옳다고 주장하면서 경쟁하는 때였습니다. 아버님이 지하에서 나와서 기독교인들을 수습해야 했는데, 그들은 주님이 구름을 타고 온다고 믿고 있었습니다. 사람으로 온다고 믿는 사람은 하나도 없었습니다. 그런데 허호빈파와 김성도파와 백남주파는 벌써 다 알고 있었습니다. 그들은 성약적 준비파입니다. 그 사람들은 주님이 사람으로 온다는 것을 알지만 만나지는 못합니다. 주님을 아무리 만나도 그 사람이 주님인 것 같지가 않다는 것입니다. 그것이 힘듭니다. 직접 가르쳐 줄 수 없습니다. 반드시 이런 삼각지에 들어가서 자기가 찾아야 됩니다. 신령한 사람이나 신령하지 않은 사람이나 똑같다는 것입니다. 신령한 사람은 영계에서 가르쳐 줘야 움직이지 가르쳐 주지 않으면 꼼짝도 안 하는 것입니다. 또 통하지 못하는 사람은 말씀을 듣고 가야 할 텐데, 말씀이라는 것이 기독교에서는 전부가 구름을 타고 온다고 하는 것입니다. 그러니 그 말 또한 믿을 수 없습니다. 이런 와중에서 문제가 벌어진 것입니다. 아버님이 평양에 가서 40여 교회에서 제일 똑똑한 사람들을 끌어냈습니다. 그때는 성경 말씀을 가지고 가르쳐줘야 됩니다. 다른 얘기 가지고는 안 됩니다. 그때는 영계가 역사해 주었습니다. 영계가 연결시켜 주는 것입니다. 하늘이 미리 준비해서 신령한 사람들을 보낸 것입니다.

7 평양에 있을 때 사탄의 역사가 얼마나 많았는지 모릅니다. 그러한 가운데서도 아버님은 식구를 위해 정성을 들였습니다. 아침에 어떤 식구를 위해 기도하고 나서 그 식구가 오는지 안 오는지 기다려 보면 틀림없이 오게 되어 있습니다. 이처럼 신령한 가운데에서 기도해 보면 기도가 얼마만큼 가치가 있고 얼마만큼 효과를 나타내는지 알 수 있습니다. 그래야 일을 해도 재미가 있고 하나님이 같이한다는 신념을 가지게 됩니다.

8 성경 말씀에 대해서는 나한테 당할 사람이 없습니다. 내가 평양에 갔을 대가 27세였습니다. 새파란 청년이었습니다. 그때 북한의 예루살렘이라는 평양 성중에서 큰 교회의 똑똑한 사람들이 전부 나한테 와서 녹아났습니다. 성경 로마서라든가 요한계시록을 해석하는 것을 보고 그 사람들의 눈이 뒤집어졌습니다. 지금까지 그 사람들이 살아 있었으면 ‘천년사를 다 알았구나. 어떻게 알았기에 그렇게 다 맞을까?’라고 할 것입니다.

9 내가 이북 평양에 가 있을 때 아주머니 한 분을 만났는데, 나보다 나이가 30세 정도 위였습니다. 그 아주머니가 ‘영계에서 가르쳐 줘서 선생님을 만났습니다.’라고 하면서 이상하다고 했습니다. 무엇이 이상하냐고 물으니 그런 일이 있을 수가 없는데 참으로 이상하다며 고개를 갸우뚱거렸습니다. 그래서 무엇이 이상하냐고 재차 물으니 자기에게는 그것이 수수께끼라면서 자기가 24세 때 아버님의 지도를 받았다는 것입니다. 내가 태어나지도 않았을 때인데 지도를 받았다는 것입니다. 그것은 평면적으로는 이해할 수 없는 말입니다. 그렇지만 입체적인 면에서 볼 때 하나님은 종적 부모이기 때문에 그 부모의 심정을 좇는 사람은 언제나 하나님과 같이 있어야 하는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 모양과 형태는 지금 나타나지만 심정의 세계는 옛날이나 지금이나 마찬가지입니다. 이렇듯 심정을 주관하는 하나님은 미래에도 만날 수 있는 인연을 내내 갖고 있기 때문에 영계는 시간을 초월해 있습니다. 그런 심정의 세계관이 있기 때문에 가능합니다. 가령 하나님의 마음속에 이러이러한 남성이 어느 한때에 태어날 것이다 하는 생각이 있으면, 그 심정을 통해서 그를 가르칠 수 있고 인연맺을 수 있다는 것입니다. 그것은 심정세계의 인연이 있기 때문에 가능한 것입니다.

10 내가 평양에 가서 전도활동을 할 때 하나님은 얼마나 많은 준비를 했느냐 하는 것을 알아야 합니다. 나를 만나기 20년 전에 어떤 집에서 이런 분을 만나서 말씀을 들을 것이라고 알려줄 정도였습니다. 아버님이 27세에 이북에 갔으니까 7세 때부터 하늘이 역사한 것입니다. 그때에는 나도 몰랐습니다. 그것을 세상 사람들이 믿을 수 있겠습니까? 그러니 많은 사람들이 아버님을 주시해 나온 것입니다. 그런 사람들이 지금 땅 위에서 증거하고 있습니다. 그 사람들은 천사장 입장에서 아버님에 대한 증거적 사명을 하는 것입니다. 원리적 관점에서 볼 때 내가 나오기 전에 나 이상의 도를 닦아야 된다는 것입니다. 그래서 몇 세기 전부터 아버님을 모실 영인들이 실체시대에 이 땅을 협조해야 지상의 사탄세계로 나아갈 수 있는 기반이 닦아지는 것입니다.

11 할머니 할아버지들이 아버님을 좋아합니다. 80세 된 할머니들이 내가 평양에 있을 때 영계에서 가르쳐 줘서 나를 찾아왔습니다. 지팡이를 짚고 다니는 할머니들이 어떻게 찾아 오겠습니까? 영계에서 가르쳐 줘서 모인 할머니들은 내 옷자락을 그저 한번 만지고 집에 가게 되면 그날은 절로 춤을 춘다는 것입니다. 옷자락이라도 한번 만지게 되면 돌아갈 때 훌훌 날아가는 것 같다는 것입니다. 돌아가서 밥도 안 먹고 종일 춤춰도 기분이 좋다는 것입니다. 무슨 요술을 부려서 그런 것이 아닙니다. 참다운 사랑의 분위기에 접하면 그렇게 됩니다. 괜히 좋습니다. 주면서도 좋다는 것입니다. 자꾸 주면서도 좋고, 욕을 먹으면서도 좋고, 일을 지성으로 하면서도 좋다고 합니다.

12 옥세현 할머니도 누가 전도하지 않았습니다. 주님이 어떻게 오느냐고 기도하고 영계를 통해서 보니 주님이 구름 타고 오는 것이 아니라 사람으로 온다는 것이었습니다. 하나님이 그렇게 가르쳐 주었다는 것입니다. 그러니 누가 믿지 말라고 해도 절대 믿게 되어 있습니다. 기도할 때 ‘주님이 언제 어디로 옵니까?’라고 하니까 ‘평양에 와 있다.’라고 가르쳐 주는 것입니다. ‘경창리 조그마한 어떤 집 방에 숨어 계신다.’라고 가르쳐 주신다. 아버님이 그때 거기에 숨어 지내고 있어서 그 소문이 안 났기 때문에 찾을 수 없었던 것입니다. 경창리에서 개척할 때입니다.

13 아버님이 평양에 가 있을 때 찾아온 할머니가 있었습니다. 그때 27세였는데, 그 할머니는 72세였습니다. 길선주 목사 때부터 이용도 목사를 거치면서 은혜를 받은 할머니인데 세상에 없는 굉장한 이적역사를 많이 했습니다. 이 할머니가 평양의 모란봉에서 기도를 했습니다. 앞으로 일본이 기필코 한국의 기독교를 완전히 밀어치우려고 하는 일이 있을 터이니 그때를 대비해서 준비하라는 계시를 받은 것입니다. 그 할머니는 기도를 반드시 새벽 2시나 3시에 합니다. 그런데 그 할머니의 남편은 반대를 했습니다. 모든 반대를 물리치고 다년간 기도해 왔습니다. 이 할머니는 한국이 택함 받은 나라가 된다는 것을 알았고, 또한 평양에 있는 여자들에게 앞으로 이런 세계가 되고, 한국에 기쁜 행운의 때가 올 것이라고 가르쳐 주었습니다. 그렇게 기도를 해준 분이 있었기 때문에 하나님이 역사해 온 뜻이 남아질 수 있다는 것입니다. 홀로 와서 몰리고 쫓김 받아 홀로 죽어 가면 안 되는 것입니다. 땅 위에서 자기 생명을 제물 삼아 하나님을 위해 상대적인 입장에서 기도해 줄 수 있는 여성이 있었기 때문에 하나님의 복귀섭리의 터전이 이 땅위에 남아질 수 있었던 것입니다.

14 아버님이 27세 때부터 평양에 가면 평양에서 야단하고 서울에 가면 서울에서 야단했습니다. 그때 동네에 가면 동네 사람들이 잠을 안 자고 내가 있는 방에만 자꾸 오려고 하니 논란의 대상이 되었습니다. 동네 아이들까지도 내가 있는 집 변소에 와서 소변을 보려고 했습니다. 왜 그러냐는 것입니다. 아이들을 만나면 재미있는 동화를 들려줍니다. 그저 밥먹는 것도 잊어버리게끔 해주는 것입니다. 하루에도 몇 십 가지 놀이를 고안해서 재미있게 데리고 놀았습니다. 그러면서 아이들한테 ‘너희 어머니 어디 갔니? 너희 아버지 어디 갔니?’라고 해서 전부 알아 놓고, 애들을 데리고 노는 것입니다. 우리 집에 와서 늦게까지 놀면 고단하니 자게 되어 있습니다. 그러면 그 집에 전도하기 위해 방문할 수 있습니다. 그것이 얼마나 좋습니까? 아이들이 밤늦게까지 놀다가 자면 어머니 아버지한테 업어다 줍니다. 자기 아이를 업어다 주니 고마운 일이 아닙니까? 거기에서 차라도 마시고 가라고 하면 역사가 벌어지는 것입니다.

15 내가 전에 평양의 하숙하던 집에서 세 살 난 아이와 마주치면 경배한 적도 있습니다. 어린아이를 하늘같이 모셨습니다. 어린아이와 같지 않으면 천국에 갈 수 없다고 했기 때문에 아이들에게서부터 그렇게 했던 것입니다. 그 어린이가 눈물을 흘리며 그러지 말라고 할 수 있는 입장까지 높여 주는 것입니다. 어린아이를 대해서 시를 고 노래를 불러 하나님의 아들이라고 칭찬할 수 있게 하기 위해서는 존경어를 갖추어서 찬양할 수 있어야 됩니다. 그렇게 될 때에 하나님의 공인을 받아 그 아이가 찬양할 수 있습니다. 천지의 법도에서 상하관계가 어긋났으니까 이것을 바로잡아 이렇게 복귀의 길을 가려 나오는 것입니다. 그래서 상대적 권을 만들어 놓았고, 그들이 기쁨으로 그런 것을 상속받아서 할 수 있는 터전이 되었기 때문에 비로소 선생의 자리에 서게 된 것입니다.

み言の伝播と押し寄せる信徒
 
一九四六年六月六日、平壌に到着された真のお父様は、景昌里（キョンチャンニ）に一間の部屋を借り、そこで祈りの精誠を捧げながら教会活動を再び開始された。その時まで平壌には多くのキリスト教会があり、篤実なクリスチャンが大勢いた。真のお父様は、周囲から刺すような目で見られていたが、早く、多くの生命を救うためにみ言を伝えなければならないという一念で、新しい食口を探し求められた。終日、門の外を見つめながら、食口たちが来るのを待たれたことも多かった。自分の足で真のお父様がいらっしゃる所に訪ねてきた人々がおり、また、彼らを通して他のクリスチャンたちが集まってきた。特に、真のお父様が到着されたのちに、真のお父様に関する啓示を受ける人たちが現れた。霊界の導きによって、篤実な信徒たちが訪ねてきたのである。それで、真のお父様は、彼らを中心に礼拝を導かれた。真のお父様のために、以前から準備された人々が大勢おり、その中には、真のお父様の聖誕前から、真のお父様に出会うために準備されていた人もいた。霊界は時空を超越するため、心情世界の絆がそのように奥妙に結ばれていたのである。そのようにして縁をもった人々は、真のお父様の裾に触れさえすれば、飛び上がるほど感激し、踊りを踊るほど真の愛に感化された。真のお父様は、老人はもちろん、誰が訪ねてきても、夜を徹してみ言を語ってくださった。
 
６ 解放後、三年間、混乱時代が訪れました。キリスト教の混乱、政治界の混乱など、混乱時代が訪れて、すべてのものが定着できませんでした。キリスト教自体も、主が来るのか、み旨がどのようになっているのか、分かりませんでした。その時、再建教会や高麗（コリョ）派などと称して、様々な教派が現れました。互いに自分たちが正しいと主張しながら、競争した時期でした。お父様が、地下から出てきてキリスト教徒たちを収拾しなければならなかったのですが、彼らは「主は雲に乗って来る」と信じていました。「人として来る」と信じている人は一人もいませんでした。ところが、許浩彬派と金聖道派と白南柱派は、既にそのことを知っていました。彼らは成約的準備派です。その人たちは、主が人として来ることは知っていますが、会うことはできません。いくら主に会ったとしても、その人が主のようには思えないのです。それが難しいのです。直接教えてあげることはできません。
 
必ず、このような窮地に入っていって自分で探し求めなければなりません。神霊的な人も神霊的でない人も同じなのです。神霊的な人は、霊界から教えられて初めて動くのであって、教えてくれなければ微動だにしません。また、通じることができない人は、み言を聞いて歩まなければなりませんが、み言といっても、キリスト教ではすべて「雲に乗って来る」と言うのに、一方では「人として来る」と言うのです。ですから、その言葉もまた信じられません。このような渦中で問題が起きたのです。お父様は、平壌に行って、キリスト教の四十以上の教会から最も賢い人たちを引き抜きました。当時は、聖書のみ言で教えてあげなければなりませんでした。別な話ではいけません。その時は霊界が役事してくれました。 霊界が連結してくれるのです。天があらかじめ準備して、神霊的な人たちを送ったのです。
 
７ 平壌にいる時、サタンの役事がどれほど多かったか分かりません。そのような中でも、お父様は食口のために精誠を尽くしました。朝、ある食口のために祈ってから、その食口が来るか来ないか待ってみると、間違いなく来るようになっています。このように神霊的な雰囲気の中で祈ってみると、祈りには、どれほど価値があり、どれほど効果が現れるのかが分かります。それでこそ、仕事をしてもおもしろく、神様が共にあるという信念をもつようになるのです。
 
８ 聖書のみ言については、私にかなう人はいません。私が平壌に行ったのは数えの二十七歳の時であり、若々しい青年でした。当時、北朝鮮のエルサレムと言われた平壌市内の大きな教会の賢い人たちが、私のところに来て、みな心を奪われました。
 
聖書の「ローマ人への手紙」や「ヨハネの黙示録」について解釈するのを見て、その人たちの目がひっくり返りました。今もその人たちが生きていれば、「千年史についてすべて精通している。どうすればそのように分かるのか」と言うでしょう。
 
９ 私が以北の平壌に行っている時、一人のおばさんに会ったのですが、私より年が三十歳ほど上でした。そのおばさんが、「霊界から教えられて先生に会いました」と話しながら、「不思議です」と言うのです。「何が不思議なのですか」と尋ねると、「そんなことはあり得ないのに、本当に不思議です」と言いながら首をかしげるのです。それで「何が不思議なのですか」と再び尋ねると、「自分には全くの謎です」と言って、「自分が数えの二十四歳の時に先生の指導を受けた」と言うのです。私はまだ生まれてもいなかった時なのに、指導を受けたというのです。
 
それは、平面的には理解できない話です。しかし、立体的な面から見るとき、神様は縦的父母なので、その父母の心情を追い求める人は、いつも神様と一緒にいなければなりません。ですから、姿形は今、現れたのですが、心情の世界は昔も今も同じです。このように、心情を主管する神様は、未来でも会える関係を常にもっているので、霊界は時間を超越しているのです。
 
そのような心情の世界観があるので可能なのです。仮に神様の心の中に、これこれこのような男性がある時に生まれるだろう、という考えがあれば、その心情を通してその人を教えることができ、関係を結ぶことができるというのです。それは、心情世界の関係があるから可能なことです。
 
 10 私が平壌に行って伝道活動をする時、神様がどれほど多くの準備をされたかということを、知らなければなりません。私に会う二十年前に、「ある家でこのような方に会ってみ言を聞くだろう」と知らせてくれるほどでした。お父様が数えの二十七歳の時に以北に行ったので、七歳の時から天が役事したのです。その時は私も知りませんでした。それをこの世の人たちは信じられるでしょうか。
 
ですから、多くの人たちがお父様を注視してきたのです。そのような人たちが今、地上で証しています。その人たちは、天使長の立場でお父様について証する使命を担うのです。原理的観点から見ると、私が現れる前に、私以上に精誠を尽くさなければなりません。それで、何世紀も前から、お父様に侍る霊人たちが再臨時代に向けてこの地に協助してこそ、地上のサタン世界へと進んでいける基盤がつくられるのです。
 
 11 おじいさん、おばあさんたちは、お父様のことが好きです。数えの八十歳になるおばあさんたちが、私が平壌にいる時、霊界から教えられて私を訪ねてきました。杖をついて歩くおぱあさんたちが、どういうわけで訪ねてくるのでしょうか。霊界から教えられて集まったおばあさんたちは、私の服の裾をただ一度でも触って家に帰れば、その日は自然に踊りを踊るのです。
 
服の裾でも一度触れるようになれば、帰る時は軽やかに飛んでいくようだというのです。帰ってから、御飯も食べずに一日中踊っても気分が良いというのです。何か妖術を使ったわけではありません。真の愛の雰囲気に接すると、そのようになるのです。無性にうれしいのです。与えてもうれしいというのです。ひっきりなしに与えてもうれしく、悪口を言われてもうれしく、これ以上ないほど誠実に働いてもうれしいのです。
 
 12 玉世賢（オクセヒョン）おばあさんも、誰かが伝道したわけではありません。「主はどのようにして来られるのか」と祈り、霊界に通じてみると、「主は雲に乗って来るのではなく、人として来る」と言うのです。神様がそのように教えてくれたのです。ですから、「信じてはいけない」と誰が言っても、絶対に信じるようになっています。
 
祈るとき、「主はいつ、どこに来ますか」と言うと、「平壌に来ている」と教えてくれるのです。「景昌里（キョンチャンニ）の小さなある家の部屋に隠れていらっしゃる」と教えてくれたのです。お父様はその頃、そこに隠れて過ごしていたのでうわさが立たず、探し出せなかったのです。その時は、景昌里で開拓する時でした。
 
 13 お父様が平壌に行っている時、訪ねてきたおばあさんがいました。その時、私は数えの二十七歳でしたが、そのおばあさんは七十二歳でした。吉善宙（キルソンヂュ）牧師の時から李龍道（イヨンド）牧師を経て、恩恵を受けたおばあさんなのですが、この世のものとは思えない驚くべき奇跡の役事を数多くしました。このおばあさんは、平壌の牡丹峰（モランボン）で祈りを捧げ、「これから日本は、韓国のキリスト教を完全に排斥するようなことを必ず起こすから、その時に備えて準備せよ」という啓示を受けたのです。
 
そのおばあさんは、必ず午前二時か三時に祈ります。しかし、そのおばあさんの夫は反対していました。そのおばあさんは、あらゆる反対を退けて、長年にわたって祈ってきたのです。
 
このおばあさんは、韓国が選ばれた国になることを知り、また、平壌にいる女性たちに、「これからこのような世界になり、韓国に喜びの幸運の時がやって来るだろう」と教えてあげました。
 
そのように祈ってくれた方がいたので、神様が役事してきたみ旨が残り得るというのです。一人で来て追い込まれ、追われて一人で死んでいってはいけません。地上で自分の生命を祭物にして、神様のために相対的な立場で祈ってくれる女性がいたので、神様の復帰摂理の基盤が、この地上に残り得たのです。
 
 14 お父様が数えの二十七歳の時、平壌に行くと平壌で騒ぎが起き、ソウルに行くとソウルで騒ぎが起きました。当時、町に行くと、町の人たちが夜も眠らず私のいる部屋にしきりに来ようとするので、論難の的になりました。
 
町の子供たちまでも、私のいる家のトイレに来て用を足そうとしました。どうしてそうなるのかというのです。子供たちに会うと、おもしろいおとぎ話を聞かせてあげます。御飯を食べるのも忘れるほど、ひたすら話してあげるのです。一日の間に数十もの遊びを考え出して、一緒に楽しく遊びました。そうしながら子供たちに、「お前のお母さんはどこに行ったのか。お前のお父さんはどこに行ったのか」と聞いてすべて調べておき、子供たちを連れて遊ぶのです。
 
私の家に来て遅くまで遊べば、疲れて寝るようになっています。そうなれば、伝道するためにその家を訪問することができるのです。それはどれほど良いでしょうか。子供たちが夜遅くまで遊んで眠ったら、お父さん、お母さんのところにおんぶしていきます。自分の子供をおんぶしてきてくれるので、有り難いことではないですか。そこで、「お茶でも飲んでいってほしい」と言うようになれば、役事が起きるのです。
 
 15 私が以前、平壌で下宿していた家で、三歳になる子供と出会った際、敬拝したこともあります。幼い子供に対して、天のように侍りました。幼子のようでなければ天国に行けないというので、まず、子供たちにそのようにしたのです。その子が涙を流しながら「やめてください」と言う立場まで高めてあげるのです。
 
幼い子供に対して詩を詠み、歌を歌い、神様の息子だと称賛できるようにするためには、尊敬語を使ってたたえることができなければなりません。そうなる時に、神様の公認を受け、その子供がたたえることができるようになるのです。
 
天地の法度において、上下関係がねじれてしまったので、これを正して、このように復帰の道を選別してくるのです。そのようにして相対圏をつくっておき、彼らが喜んでそのようなことを相続して行える基盤が築けたので、初めて先生の位置に立つようになったのです。

Building a following
After arriving in Pyongyang on June 6, 1946, True Father took a room in Gyeongchang-ri and began his church work with prayer and devotion. At the time in Pyongyang, there were still many Christian churches and devout Christian believers. Though many of them looked at True Father with unfriendly glares, he still sought new followers with the conviction that he would convey the Word to save even one life. Many were the times that he looked out of the door with anticipation as he waited for these new church members to come.

Some people found their own way to where True Father was, and later they brought other Christian believers to him. True Father held church services for those people. In particular, after True Father's arrival, some people began receiving revelations about him. These devout believers found him through the guidance of those in the spirit world. Many of those who came had been long prepared for the coming of True Father, and among them were people who had been prepared to receive True Father from even before he was born.

The spirit world transcends time and space, and the connections of the world of the heart are linked in mysterious and profound ways. The people who had thus become connected to True Father were so overwhelmed by true love that when they so much as touched the hem of his clothes, they felt as if they were floating on air and could dance for sheer joy. True Father stayed up nights talking to whomever came to see him, whether old or young.
 
6 The three years following Korea's liberation were a period of chaos. There was chaos within Christianity, the political world, and in every other area of Korean society. Everything was in flux. Within Christianity there was no thought about whether the Messiah would return and no understanding of God's Will. At that time many new churches arose, including the Jaegeon Christian group and the Koryupa Church. All were competing with each other over who had the truth. I had to step forward and build relationships with these churches, but their belief that the Lord would return riding on the clouds was an obstacle.

No one believed that the Lord would return as a human being except a few groups, such as those led by Rev. Heo Ho-bin, Rev. Kim Seong-do and Rev. Baek Nam-ju, who already knew that he would come in the flesh. These were the groups that were prepared for the Completed Testament. They knew the Lord would come as a human being, but they had not had the opportunity to meet him in person. Even if they had met the Lord, he would not have looked like the Messiah to them. That was a challenge to them, and I could not tell them who I was directly. They had to be pushed into a corner and figure it out for themselves.

In fact, both spiritual and non-spiritual people have to do that. Spiritual people do not move an inch without instructions from the spirit world. On the other hand, people who are not spiritual can move forward by understanding the Word. It was a confusing situation. Mainstream Christians were saying that the Lord would come on the clouds. The ones who said that he would come in the flesh were being put down as members of sects. The non-spiritual people could not easily believe either. This became a problem.

I gathered the smartest people from 40 Christian churches in Pyongyang. In those days, I had to teach them with the words of the Bible; no other materials would do. The spirit world worked to connect people to me. God prepared these spiritual people in advance and sent them to me. (223-215, 1991/11/10)
 
7 Satan's efforts bore down on me constantly when I was in Pyongyang. But even in the midst of this, I always prayed for the members. I would offer a prayer for someone in the morning, and then wait to see whether they would come or not. As expected, they came without fail. When you pray during such Holy Spirit experiences, you will learn how valuable and effective prayer is. Then your work becomes fun, and you gain the conviction that God is always with you. 8 No one can rival me when it comes to the Bible. I was 26 years old when I went to North Korea. I was an enthusiastic young man. At the time, there were big churches in Pyongyang, which was known as the Jerusalem of the East. All the intelligent members of those churches were enthralled by me. When I taught the Bible, such as Paul's Letter to the Romans or the Book of Revelation, they were astonished at my explanations. If they were still alive today, they would say to me, "You understand the thousands of years of history in the Bible. How could you know it so accurately?" (227-245, 1992/02/14)
 
9 When I was in Pyongyang, North Korea, I met a woman who was more than 30 years older than I was. She said to me, "I am here with you today because of the guidance of the spirit world," and then she said, "It is strange." I asked her, "What is so strange?" She said, "This is impossible. This is so strange," and she shook her head. I asked her again, "What is so strange?" She answered, "This is so puzzling for me. You gave me guidance when I was 24 years old." In other words, she said that she had received guidance from me even before I was born.

You cannot understand such a phenomenon by just looking from a physical perspective. But looking at it from the spiritual dimension, because God is the vertical Parent, anyone who seeks the heart of the True Father will be with God always. Therefore, although I appear with a shape and body now, in terms of the world of heart, it is the same in the past or in the present. Because God reigns over the world of heart, that woman had met me, even though it would be many years before I would come. Thus we say that the spirit world transcends time. It is possible because of the connections that are made within the realm of heart.

Suppose that within God's heart, He has an idea that such and such a man will be born at a certain time in the future. Then, through that heart God can teach someone about that man and create a connection between them. This is possible because we relate through the world of heart. (063-306, 1972/10/15)
 
10 How much do you think God had to prepare before I went to evangelize in Pyongyang? There was another woman I met there whom God had told 20 years earlier that she would meet me at someone's house and hear God's Word from me. I was 26 years old when I went to North Korea. God told her this when I was only seven years old. I certainly did not know that woman, or that she had received such a message. How on earth could people believe such a story?

While I was in Pyongyang, quite a few people shared that sort of testimony. They had the mission to testify to me from the position of the archangel. From the perspective of the Principle, before I came to earth, there had to be people who were even more prepared than I was. Even several centuries before my coming, the spirits who would attend me in the future had to cooperate with people on earth in order to establish the foundation for me to deal with Satan's world. 11 Grandfathers and grandmothers are fond of me. There were 80-year old grandmothers who, guided by the spirit world, came to see me when I was in Pyongyang. Why would they come to see me, walking with their canes? Those grandmothers who came to me under the guidance of the spirit world were so happy even to touch the hem of my garment. When they went back home they spontaneously danced with joy. After touching the hem of my garment, they felt like they were soaring through the sky. They were so overjoyed, dancing all day long, that they even forgot to eat. How could that be? I did not use any magic.

When we taste the atmosphere of true love, we become this way. We become happy without apparent reason. We are happy to give and keep giving. We are joyful even when people curse at us. We are happy, no matter how hard we have to work. (121-208, 1982/10/27)
 
12 Nobody witnessed to Grandmother Ok Sae-hyeon. When she asked in prayer how the Messiah would come, God told her that he would come in the flesh, not on the clouds. That is what God told her. She absolutely believed this no matter who opposed her. In her prayers, she asked, "When will the Messiah come?" and, "Where will he come?" Then God said, "He is in Pyongyang now. He is hiding in a room in Gyeongchang-ri." Since I was hidden away there, and no rumors had yet circulated about where I was, she could not find me. This was during the time that I was pioneering in Gyeongchang-ri. (141-048, 1986/02/16)
 
13 When I was in Pyongyang, an elderly lady came to visit me. I was 26 and she was over 70. She had received God's grace while worshipping at the churches of Rev. Gil Seon-ju and Rev. Yi Yong-do, and she performed great spiritual works the likes of which no one else could do. She used to offer prayers at Moranbong in Pyongyang. She received the revelation that in the future Japan would try to eliminate Christianity in Korea and that she should prepare herself for that time. She used to pray there at 2:00 or 3:00 a.m. Although her husband opposed her, she fended off all opposition and continued her prayers for many years. She knew that Korea would become the chosen nation. She taught the women of Pyongyang about the new world that awaited them in the future and that a joyous and prosperous era would begin soon in Korea.

It is because of the existence of people such as her who prayed in this manner that God’s work for the Will could be maintained. The Lord must not be alone when he comes, only to be chased and cornered and die with no one at his side. Because there were such women on earth who offered their lives, praying to God and relating to His Will, the foundation of God's providence of restoration could be sustained on earth. 14 l went to Pyongyang at the age of 26 and caused quite a commotion. When I was in Seoul, the same thing happened. When I would go to a village, the people in the village were willing to stay up all night at my home, talking. So I became the object of much debate.

Even the village children would come and pee in the toilet that belonged to the house where I was staying. Why? I told them interesting stories and folktales. My stories were so entertaining that the children would forget about eating. We had fun playing games together, and I invented dozens of games every day. While playing with them, I asked them, "Where are your mom and dad?" After finding out about their parents' situation, I would keep playing with them. After playing at my house until late, the children would become tired and fall asleep. Then I would visit their homes and witness to their parents.

What a wonderful way to witness! Since the children had fallen asleep after playing until late, I would carry them on my back to their mom and dad. What parent isn't grateful to someone who has just brought their child home on his back? They would invite me in for a cup of tea. That is how I witnessed. (095-234, 1977/12/04)
 
15 When I was living in a boarding house in Pyongyang, I offered bows to a three-year old boy. I attended him like I attend heaven. It says in the Bible that unless you become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. I honored him above myself to such a degree that he asked me in tears to stop. I recited poems, sang songs and praised him as God's son, even using honorific language. Having done that, I was recognized by God and the child praised me.

Since the Human Fall reversed the original order of above and below in heaven and on earth, I had to set the order straight through such actions, which is the path of restoration. After I established such a reciprocal base by which others could receive me with a joyful heart, only then could I stand in the position of their teacher.
