<p>Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture</p><p>The Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture aligns the province’s natural renewable resources of fisheries, aquaculture, forestry, agriculture and agrifoods and is responsible for supporting the advancement and development of these industries. The Provincial Government works with industry and stakeholders to achieve sustainable economic growth in all sectors for the benefit of the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.</p><p>The mandate of the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture includes:</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;" data-ke-list-type="disc"><li>Development and growth of renewable resource areas for fisheries, aquaculture, inland fish and wildlife, agriculture, and forestry for optimum sustainable economic benefit to the province as well as its ecological integrity.</li><li>Conservation and protection of the province’s inland fish, wildlife, wildlife habitat, forestry and land resources.</li><li>Administration of Crown lands as a social and economic resource.</li><li>Regulation, compliance and enforcement of animal health and protection, food safety, aquaculture, agriculture, fish processing, inland fish and wildlife, and forestry.</li></ul>
