1. Please introduce yourself:

I am Won-young Lee, a retired Korean university professor.
I am campaigning against the Japanese government's dumping of nuclear wastewater.

2. Where are you walking from and to? How many people are participating?:

It is from the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan to the White House in DC. It is 250 miles.
The number of participants is still small. However, the response from American citizens is good.

3. How much has the Japanese government dumped so far?:

They have dumped 86,000 tons 11 times in the past two years.
They say they will continue to dump in the future.

4. How harmful is it?:

Radiation is currently accumulating in the marine ecosystem through the food chain. It will eventually enter the human body.
Above all, the state power is doing bad things. Everyone must step up and stop this. If we don't stop it, they will do worse things.

5. What is the US government's position?:

The Biden administration allowed the Japanese government.
However, in the summer of 2023, New York and Massachusetts banned the dumping of even a small amount of radioactive contaminated water.
It's contradictory.

6. What is the Trump administration?:

He has not yet decided on his position.
We insist on reviewing from the beginning. The dumping of nuclear wastewater must be stopped.

We will read the World Citizen Declaration and demand that the US and the international community stop it.
