You may throw stones all you want, believing that such
acts will remove the guilt and shame carved deep in your soul, being selfish and
prideful you are, and yet the remorse and regret for not living up to your
own standards, not to mention even those of the Almighty with whom we have to
do, shall haunt your conscience until you die, causing you to throw away more
stones.
That's the way with self reformation and with the efforts required by all
the religions of the world.
Gracious God of the Bible, knowing that too well, made a
provision that our guilt and shame be removed by the blood of Jesus Christ, and
thus He sacrificed His own Son as our substitute sin bearer. Those who
accept God's offer of salvation will find immediate relief from guilt and shame
thus requring no need to throw stones every morning, while those who don't want
His gracious offer shall suffer now and in eternity.
"I counsel
thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and
white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy
nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou
mayest see." Revealation 3:18
" To the end he may stablish your hearts
unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ with all his saints." 1 Thessalonians
3:13.
