Some might say that the script was already written with two-time defending Truck Champion Ty Tessmann TQ’ing the truck class ensuring he would line up on pole for the 45 min final. It proved a start-to-finish victory for Tessmann as he handed a prestigious win to the new ‘Tessmann’ edition D8T Truck. Whilst Tessmann’s 3rd consecutive win (4th overall in truck) will further cement him in ‘Dirt’ history, praise must go to the sterling drive from 9th qualifier Barry Pettit.
We mentioned previously that it looks as if Mugen have assembled and pieced together a good looking young competitive team, and so it came good for 21 year old Barry Pettit as he came through early battles and would ensure Tessmann couldn’t let up, a very impressive finish from Pettit – his arrival into the big league maybe?
Dakotah Phend would claim the last podium spot after a hard-fought fight with Jared Tebo, coming home 0.8 sec infront of Kyosho’s main man, TQ of the buggy class, Phend suffered from a poor getaway but recovered.
