I'm very glad to meet (or know) you. 미국에서는 위의 표현이나 Pleased to meet you. I'm pleased to meet you, too.
Bon voyage!
Please give my best regards (wishes) to ~ 라고 합니다. It's time for me to be going.
또는 It's time I were going. Bon voyage는 프랑스어에서 나온 어구로서 goodbye, have a nice trip이라는 의미입니다.

LEAVING KOREA
Mr. Lee: I think your trip to Korea has been very fruitful, not only for yourself but for our entire mutual relationship.
Mr. West: Yes, it has. This month has passed so quickly. The schedule was tight, but I was able to enjoy my stay immensely, thanks to you.
M. Lee: I'm glad to hear that. As you know, I may have to visit you in the near future, and, if I do, I'd like to meet Mrs. West too. Please give her my best regards.
Mr. West: Thank you. I think it's time to board the plane.
Thanks again, for all you did for me. Goodbye, Mr. Lee.

Mr. Lee: So you are satisfied with our products and the prices. I'm glad to hear that.

Mr. Lee: We have Type A in stock, but our stock of Type B is running low.
Mr. West: When will you be able to deliver Type B?
Mr. Lee: Well, if we receive your order now, then in a
month's time.
Mr. West: That'll be all right.
Mr. Lee: We usually don't give a discount to any of our customers, but to mark the start of a long-term relationship, we can give you a 3% discount.
Mr. West: That'll be fine.

재고에 관해서 be in stock (재고 있음), be out of stock (재고 없음), be short of stock (재고 부족) 등의 표현이 있습니다.

I'm glad to see you again.
Time flies.는 Time flies like an arrow. 「비행」flight라는 단어의 발음에는 특히 주의를 기울여서 fright「공포」라는 뜻이 되지 않도록 해야 합니다. a bit「조금」은 a little, slightly라고 해도 마찬가지의 의미입니다. all that time 은 「그 시간 중」과 12 hour를 하나로 묶어서 받은 것입니다.

Mr. Lee: Hello, Mr. West. Welcome to Korea.
Mr. West: Hello, Mr. Lee. I'm glad to see you again.
Mr. Lee: Same here. This is your third visit to Korea, isn't it?
Mr. West: That's right. The first was in 1985. Time flies.
Mr. Lee: How was your flight?
Mr. West: It was quite smooth, so I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Mr. Lee: That's good, but isn't it over 12 hours from New York to Seoul?
Mr. West: Right. I'm a bit tired after spending all that time in such a small seat.
Mr. Lee: So, shall we go straight to your hotel? It's not very far from here.
Mr. West: Yes, I think that would be best. .
I'm glad to see you again.

| How did he strike you ? |

I hear you have a new foreman.(아이 히어 유 해브 어 뉴우 포오맨)즉 『새로 조장이 들어왔다던데』 라고 하니까 교포 는 Yes. How did he strike you?
No, he did not strike me.(노우 히 디드 낫 스트라이크 미) 즉 『아니 조장이 나를 때몸는 않았어』라 고 말했다.
Ididn't ask how he beat you(아디 디든 애스크 하 우 히 비이 츄) 즉 『가 당신을 어떻게 때렸느냐』고 물은 게 아니라 Iasked what kind of first impression he made on you. How did he strike you? How did he strike you ?
He struck me as a slave driver.(히 스트럭 미 애즈 어 슬레이브 드라이버)라고 대답했다면 『그는 지독히 부려먹는 사람같더라』는 말이 된다. struck 는 물론 strike의 과거형. You don't strike me as a cop.(유 돈 스트라이크 미 애즈 어 캅)이라고 했다면 『당신은 경관같지 않아요』 즉 You don't look like a cop.(유 돈 루클 라이크 어 캅)과 같은 뜻이다.

A: Whre are you from ?
B: New York
A: Is this your first time in Seoul ?
B: Yes, it is.
A: How did Seoul strike you ?
B: Well, I'm very impressed by the cleanness of the city. You can hardly find a piece of waste paper or a cigarette butt on the sidewalk.
A: I'm glad to hear that. I think we Koreans have a flair for cleanness. We try to keep everything neat and clean-homes. offices, streets, subways..
B: I'll bet.

예를 들면, May I help you ? 라고 Nice to meet you.를 『너 잘 만났다』라하고, How do you do ? I'm glad I caught you.(아임 글래드 아이 카아 츄)라고 하면 된다. caught는 물론 catch(캣취)의 과거형이다. catch는 여기서 「만나려고 애를 쓰다가 만난다」는 뜻이다.
You can't do this to me!(유 캐앤 두 디스 투 미)가 된다. You can't do this to me ! I'm through with you !(아임 스루우 위드 유)즉 『당신 하 고는 이제 끝장이다』는 말이 뒤따를 것이다. I'm through with you ! I think we have very good chemisty between us.(아이 띵크 위 해브 베 리 구웃 케미스트리 비투인 어스)정도가 될 것이다. We just don't have right chemisty berweem us.(위 짜스트 돈 해브 라잇 케미스트리 비투인 아스)라고 말했다면 『우리는 서로 마음이 맞지 않아』란 뜻이 된다.

A: I'm glad I caught you, Sally.
B: I thought we were through with each other.
A: Listen, Sally, I still love you.
B: I', sorry, John, I think we just don't have right
chemistry berween us. So, I don't want to see you again.
A: You can't do this to me, Sally !
-
A: I don't think I've had very good chemistry with the boss.
B: Why do you say that ?
A: As you know I've been passed over for promotion again. He can't do this to me ! I'm through with this lousy company !

위의 예문을 영어로 번역하여 Do you like it ? I'm wondering if you like it. I'm wondering if you like it. | Good thing과 I'm glad |
+-----------------------+
It's a good thing...또는 간단 히 Good thing...
It's a good thing I brought along my umbrella. Good thing I brought along my umbrella. Good thing I dropped in. I'll give a hand.
It's a good thing...이나 Good thing...대신 I'm glad ...
It's glad I dropped in. I'm glad I brought along my umbrella.

John: Hi, Tom, what brings you here ?
Tom: I was just passing by and thought I'd drop in. What are you doing John ?
John: I'm rearranging the furniture. I'm glad yo stopped in. Give me a hand, will you ?
Tom: Okay. I sure did well to drop by, didn't I ?
John: You sure did.

You are my choice now
The love you bring
Heaven's in my heart
At your call I hear harps
And angels sing
-
You know how I feel
This thing can't go wrong
I can't live my life without you
I just can't hold on
I feel we belong
My life ain't worth living
If I can't be with you
-
At night when the stars shine
I pray in you I'll find a love so true
When morning awakes me
Will you come and take me
I'll wait for you
You know how I feel, I won't stop until
I hear your voice saying "I do"
This thing can't go wrong
This feeling's so strong
My life ain't worth living
If I can't be with you
-
We can change all the world tomorrow
We can sing songs of yesterday
I can say, hey farewell to sorrow
This is my life
And I want to see you for always
-
○● Nobody Knows - Tony Rich Project ○●
I pretended I'm glad you went away
These four walls close in more every day
And I'm dying inside
And nobody knows it but me
