Most sensitive to sounds that support us and represent my desires,
but not what I want and what is right. It is important to discern words
that save us even if they are uncomfortable to our ears, not words
that delight our ears but kill us. What determines God's will?
-
We have seen heartbreakingly how power can be privatized in 2013
when we propose a communication window as people who only want
to hear it. The text tells the story of Ahab preparing to go out to reclaim
the land of Gilead Ramot in Israel that was taken by Aram.
-
In response to King Judah's request to ask for God's will, I heard the
prophecies of 400 prophets in Israel at that time. Among them,
someone like Siddhiya predicted that they could be defeated by
making horns of iron with it.
-
Jehoshaphat king of Judah and Ahab king of Israel agree to take back
Gilead Ramot from Aram. The land was an old territory of Israel received
from God, and after winning the battle of Ebek, Ben-Had decided to
return it and broke his promise, so it was clearly a justifiable war.
-
So the king of Judah replied to the suggestion of Ahab, king of Israel,
"I am like you, and my people are like the people, and my words are like
the horses of the time (4)." I mean, I totally agree with you. In particular,
words were a sign of willingness to participate in the war as a symbol
of military strength.
-
But I think it's a very inappropriate statement for a king with sovereignty
of a country. There's a reason why I lowered myself. The kingdom of
Judah is two tribes, and the kingdom of Israel is ten tribes, and the gap
in its national power is wider now than it was in Jeroboam.
-
This is because it was not economically comparable to the territory and
population. Northern Israel also had its own plans and formed an alliance
with the southern kingdom of Judah. At that time, as Athur in the east
grew more and more powerful, the Israeli side also had to join hands
with the South to deal with the threat.
-
Originally, Judah and Israel were of the same ethnic group, but they were
hostile to each other. However, this was the case with the international
situation, and moreover, Israel felt the need to check against Aram, which
is growing in power in the north. Jehoshaphat is the fourth king of Judah,
a king who, despite some misdeeds, is classified as a good king of Judah,
like the kings of Hezekiah and Josiah
-
Gilead Ramot was one of the three escapades on the east side of Jordan,
a highland but fertile area where grapes and olives are well produced due
to abundant water in the valley. However, since we were on the border
with foreign countries, there were frequent disputes It's also where it
happens. In fact, it's become a major conflict zone since Aram gained
independence from Solomon.
-
Gilead Ramot was then captured by Ben Hadan I of Aram. Seeing that
Ben-Hadad II, who had been defeated by Ahab, promised to return the
town his father had taken. But this war broke out because that promise
wasn't kept. During Elijah, Queen Jezebel suppressed Jehovah's prophet.
That's when a lot of visionaries.
-
But in the text, King Ahab accepted King Judah's suggestion and
convened his own prophets. Amazingly, the total number of visionaries
gathered was 400. It's the equivalent of the Asherah prophets. How
could there be so many visionaries who thought they were all dead?
The hint is in the body.
-
Ahab said to them, 'Do I go to Gilean Ramot and fight? Do you want me
to stop you?' In other words, he asked for advice because he wanted to
know what the word of Jehovah was like. So they were the royal visionaries
who were being supported by the royal court as an advisory body to the king.
-
Naturally, their answer is only to the taste of those in power. In other
words, they're fake visionaries. That is why the prophet Elijah or Migaya
did not attend the meeting. Religious mixtureism, which served Baal
and Ashera but maintained Jehovah's faith, was the trend of that era.
-
Their identity was the maids of power that was ideologically supported
to strengthen royal authority. Therefore, it was impossible from the
beginning to hear the true word of Jehovah to them. It seems that there
are fakes in any era. So are the prophets of that time, the pastors of
today, and the saints.
-
The characteristic of fake is the large number. In comparison, it's really a
small number. The problem is that God uses the real thing. There are
many fakes, but God's history is made through very few real prophets,
pastors and saints. So numbers aren't that important. Even if it's 450:1,
like Elijah. Even if it's 400 to 1 like Migaya, it's the fact that one person
smashes 400 to 450 people and wins.
-
It's going to have to be real. A real visionary, a real pastor, a real saint.
I think it can prove to be a fruit. You can't cheat. Because the fruit of
the vine is held in the vine, not in the thorn tree. Even though Sidgiah
made iron horns to satisfy people's hearts, it was fake.
-
But even though Migaya's prophecy was harsh, it was real. He was
a visionary of the same God. They are people who have received the
words of Jehovah like self-proclaimed. But one was fake and the
other was real. Their only difference was the authenticity of the prophecy.
It was the presence or absence of truth.
-
There are fake things in the world that look real, and there are fake things.
We are Christians. If you're a Christian, you'll have to act like a Christian.
You must look the same as you look inside, and you must not speak and
act separately. If you shout holiness with your mouth and your hands and
feet are not clean, it could be fake
I have it
-
You give up the benefits of the world and power, and you don't allow
yourself to compromise. We will have to live by God's word in any case.
Because you can't say you're a man of God without living as you say.
Who is fake and who is real? Who is the man of God and who is the servant?
-
I don't think there's any need to wonder or investigate. The problem is you.
It's because you're more important than others. It's late, but I want to live
the rest of my life as a real Christian. May God's living words rule our
thoughts and thoughts. What determines goodness and rightness and God's will?
Am I real? Is it fake?

It is the grace of the Lord that has made Israel free of war for three years.
It is also the grace of the Lord that made the two Koreas go to the
reconciliation mood after a long time. If the territorial claim is reasonable,
we should ask God, but isn't asking 400 false prophets the distrust of
Ahab who has already made plans to strike Aram by force and is trying
to carry out his will? Be wary of humanism, which will unconditionally
restore power to the Northeast Project or Dokdo sovereignty issue, and
do not mistake THAAD or the six-party talks as an unconditional
alternative. May the Lord protect this country with fiery eyes so that
especially conservative church leaders do not ruin it and the church.
