The most frightening moment I've ever had was when I needed to remove a corn, so called 티눈, on my foot.
I was 9 years old and I was trembling and cried for an hour. It was so scary for two reasons. First of all, my parents themselves tried to pull it out at home without anaesthesia. The cold feeling of pincette type nail clipper gave my foot some distress and pain. The odor of ethanol stung my nose and it just smelled gross.
Also, despite the great pain, it wasn't removed at once. So I had to go through the distressing process twice more. All in all, on the day when the forth informal home surgery was planned, taking a shower allowed the small boil to come out naturally from my foot, which released me from the other torture, but I will always remember the terrible experience at my childhood.
