■ sound of autumn (2022)
- Cl, Vn, Vc, Jarana, Perc
In late summer, I saw leaves that had slightly faded in color.
Some leaves have not changed yet.
Autumn doesn't come all at once. At some point it comes slowly.
I tried to express the sounds that change little by little

■ Metamorphosen von Vogelgesang (2022)
- Cl, Vn, Vc, Jarana, Perc
It is a piece that conceived several motives from the chirping of birds, embodied them, and then transformed them into various ways. There are two main motifs, one is to jump two notes and sound briefly, and the other is to raise or lower the note with glissando. Throughout the song, these two elements constantly appear in various tempos, dynamics, and articulations. At the same time, through the traditional Mexican percussion instrument, I tried to constantly give a different background by giving a mysterious feeling of nature and a folksy yet cheerful feeling.

■ casi guitarra (2022)
- Cl, Vn, Vc, Perc, Guitar
The piece, <casi guitarra> is the second work from the “Quasi-” cycle.
Because of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Mexico, this piece was composed, so I wanted to show how to combine two cultures well.
Traditional Mexican percussions and guitar are responsible for this piece's main fragments, and other instruments copy technique from guitar to Korean traditional rhythms.

■ A Thorny Night (2022)*
- Cl, Vn, Vc, Guitar, Perc
In the early 20th century, for some Koreans who could not live in their homeland for political reasons, the Enekenfarm in a faraway foreign land, Mexico, was another place for them to live. When the sun goes down on the EnekenFarm after a busy day, the longing for the homeland must have flowed over. “A Thorny Night” is a meditative nocturne depicting a deep and longing night on a Eneken farm where sharpthorns shine.

■ Aztec : The Last Sun (2022)
- Vn, Vc, Perc
"Aztec : The Last Sun" is inspired by exhibition about "Myth of Azteca" held in National Museum in Korea. In the First Movement, title is "Teotihuacán - Sacred Pyre", expressed sacredness of Teotihuacán's Pyre and the weird images of the Nanahuatzin jumping into the fire to become the '5th god of sun'. ■ Cumbión místico (2022) for Orchestra
Cumbia has been an important rhythm for the Mexican culture since long ago, adapting it to our traditions and transforming it in something of our own. This piece is based on that rhythm and some derivations of itself. The piece is introduced by "el llamado" (the call), this gesture will appear again during the first part of the piece, it is the preparation for a popular celebration atmosphere. Then we have a minimalistic part where the change of dynamics and rhythm are the main vein. Eventually the first melody reappears in a repetition move, while new musical material is slowly added.

I started with a Korean lullaby, a very simple tune with 4 repetitive notes and created a narrative depiction of bedtime. It starts with a calm, warm atmosphere, where it is dark with the intermittent twittering of birds and crickets. Mommy rocks the little one to soothe her. Is the baby sleeping yet? No. Suddenly the baby opens her eyes wide and is startled by something...a tiny noise or a stray strand of light from the neighbors. Oh no! But mommy will try again with those four notes. A drowsy warming four notes. Over and over. After the long, long singing, the baby falls asleep with the most peaceful smile on her face. Mommy whispers the tune and ends with a lovely goodnight kiss.

I G N I S A R D E T는 멕시코, 푸에블라 주, 멕시코 여성들을 상징하고 대표하는 작품이다. I G N I S A R D E T는 멕시코와 푸에블라 주, 그리고 멕시코 여성과 시인 그레고리오 데 간테에 대한 헌정작품입니다.
I G N I S A R D E T is a work that symbolizes and represents Mexico, the State of Puebla and Mexican women. Starting with the title, Latin is used as an allusion to the legend written around the Coat of Arms of the City of Puebla. Likewise, the meaning of the title is associated with the poem "La China Poblana" by the Poblano poet Gregorio de Gante. I G N I S A R D E T is a quadruple tribute to both Mexico and the State of Puebla, as well as to Mexican women and the poet Gregorio de Gante.

“Arirang”, a traditional folk song of Korea. In this arrangement, a small orchestra, chorus, and a traditional Korean instrument gayageum were organized. The last lyrics, “Going over”, have a subjective interpretation of jumping over the difficulties with dreams and hopes.

■ INERUDIBLE (2022)
"a lamentation cover in affective tones locked in itself with a sweet symbol"
Victoria Cea Rodríguez.
Ineludible is a work like an elegy (sad caracter music), basically the music wants to express through the textures and melodies from this character of elegy and deep sadness.
