New government to cut bureaucracy on industrial complexes
Aides to President-elect Lee Myung-bak have said that his government will ease restrictions on industrial complexes in provincial areas to spark industrial investment. Currently, many businesses and investors find the amount of red tape involved in building industrial complexes stifling; it takes up to three years to even start building, and companies are often up to their ears in red tape. A major gas station chain mentioned the regulations as it put off its 4.8 trillion won investment in a South Chungcheong Province industrial complex. The regulations also often slow vital measures in industrial parks to a snail’s pace. Shipping companies in a South Jeolla industrial park had complained about electric poles interfering with their trucks over a year ago; because of the regulations, removal has only just started recently.

Debate : Yi, Hyun-Jeong
This week's topic for debate is
What is your position about this situation below?
There is a married couple who seems to be happy but are having a seriously devastating period. It has been resulted from the wife's hereditary disease(ovarian cancer난소암), of which caused her mother to die, and also her aunt and cousin get the cancer.
What she wants to do is to grow old with her husband, even if they become a crazy old wrinkled couple that argues all the time. This triggers her harsh decision - to take out her ovaries(난소) and the uterus(자궁), and cut off her breasts. Her intention is to get rid of even the merest chance to get cancer.
However, in the husband's point of view, it is not totally acceptable. Reasonably he wants her to get pregnant and have a baby. Actually the couple tried for it. But after having a hysterectomy(자궁적출) and an oophorectomy(난소적출), there's no chance to have their own baby. That's why he strongly disagrees with her decision. Moreover, he is concerned about her losing sex drive due to hormone changes by the surgery.
These are what if questions.
- What would do if you were the wife?
- What would do if you were the husband?
