- The 11-day computer-simulated "Ulchi Freedom Shield" exercise is planned for Aug. 21-31, including a weekend pause on Aug. 26 and 27, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff and US Forces Korea jointly announced Monday.
- Ulchi Free Shield is an annual exercise baased on all-out war scenario, featuring various contingency drills. -It is broader than the federal law in that the attempt, solicitation, coercion, and intimidation of another person to commit one of the offenses can be considered racketeering activity. A number of the crimes Mr. Trump and his allies are accused of are on the list, including making false statements.
-Willis had signaled for months that she planned to use Georgia’s expansive anti-racketeering statutes, which allow prosecutors not only to charge in-state wrongdoing but to use activities in other states to prove criminal intent in Georgia. The statute is broader than federal law in terms of how prosecutors can define a criminal enterprise or conspiracy.

6.Hrdlicka
-Ales Hrdlicka (1869-1943) was born in the Czech Republic moved to the United States in 1881. Hrdlicka became known as the "Father" of Physical Anthropology and worked at the U.S. National Museum (now the National Museum of Natural History).
-Hrdlicka believed that White people were superior to other races, followed by Asians and Native Americans. He ranked Black people at the bottom, proclaiming them to be a problem for America. When Bishop John William Hamilton wrote Hrdlicka in 1930 and asked about interracial relationships and whether Black people would become a large part of the American population, Hrdlicka wrote that mixed-race people “shall never dominate or control, for he has not the brain and other qualities that would be needed.”

7.Red Dot Design Award
- The Red Dot Award is an international design competition for product design, communication design and design concepts.
- Hyundai Motor Group said Tuesday that its Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brands won a total of seven Red Dot Design awards, one of the most prestigious design awards globally. 8.Malaria
- Malaria is a serious mosquito-borne disease caused by a parasite that commonly infects a certain type of mosquito which feeds on humans. People who get malaria are typically very sick with high fevers, shaking chills, and flu-like illness.
- South Korea is seeing an increase in the cases of Malaria, mosquito-borne disease. According to data from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency’s Infectious Disease portal, a total of 509 cases of malaria have been reported so far this year. The figure amounts to a nearly fourfold increase compared to last year, when 193 malaria cases were reported during the first seven months of the year.
