POSITION TITLE & GRADE: Computer Assistant, KGS-0335-05
SALARY: Between 17961 – 25774 won per hour (Total hourly compensation when bonuses are included)
DUTY LOCATION: 51st Communications Squadron, Client Service Center, Osan AB.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current USAFK employees assigned within 51st Communications Sq. (Priority Group 5)
NOTE: To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, USFK will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees. USFK may request information and receive submission of vaccination documentation from employees and selected applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols based on vaccination status, such as masking, periodic testing, physical distancing, travel limitation and quarantine.
현재 진행중인 법적인 문제의 처리방향에 따라 보완이 되거나, 수정 혹은 취소될 수 있는 예비중지명령을 준수하기 위하여, 주한미군은, 미연방정부 직원들이 코로나 19 백신을 반드시 접종해야 한다는 미행정명령 14043호에서 요구한 백신접종을 더 이상 강요하지 않습니다. 그러나 마스크 착용, 주기적인 검사, 거리두기, 여행제한, 그리고 격리조치 등, 직장 내에서의 안전확보 문제와 관련하여 필요한 조치들을 시행하기 위한 목적으로, 현직 직원들과 선발된 응모자들로부터 백신접종과 관련한 정보/서류를 요청할 수도 있습니다.
MAJOR DUTIES: Serves as a computer assistant in a functional area providing a service and processing link with the organization’s computer processing capabilities through a remote terminal. In addition to the remote terminal, the work station includes computer linked card reader, line printer and a teletypewriter and, off-line peripheral equipment such as card punch, paper delegator, forms buster, card sorters, collations, reproducer, and interpreters. The incumbent supports subject matter specialists by entering and retrieving information through a computer connected terminal. Reviews workload, machine utilization estimates and operator reports in order to assist in planning, developing and maintaining daily remote processing schedules. Prepares, or arranges for preparation of input cards and/or program run instructions. Reviews staging packages for card initiated jobs for program and user identification, specified dates and control streams changes specified in processing instruction. Loads cards to system through an on-line card reader. Reviews demand processing requests in order to identify customer needs, structures the request in machine acceptable access language and enters job to the system through a remote terminal. Reviews standing run instructions for recurring jobs accessible through the terminal, remote job entry system to identify control, date or parameter modifications required; codes and structures the job entry control and execution commands and enters the job through the terminal. Performs quality control review of output by verifying record count against control figures, ensuring that data is as requested, print is clear, totals are provided, and similar concerns based on product specifications. Monitors jobs in process to detect equipment or potential program problems and monitors the equipment (on and off-line) to ensure continuity of operations and to make minor adjustments during operations and as required at planned program stops. Identifies recurring irregularities and inadequacies in processing that can be attributed to control stream or equipment problems and works with programmers and customers to modify procedures. Assists programmer in testing new or modified programs by identifying equipment or processing problems that occur as a result of prescribed methods for setting up and running test programs and recommending variations in preparation and control methods to resolve such problems. Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-04 or equivalent experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be credited, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower grade level.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
Successfully completed education of four years above the high school level in a ROKG authorized or recognized university may be substituted for the experience.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY:
1. The American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT) score of 60 or above and successfully passing the English Comprehension Interview (ECI) is required.
2. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 430 and higher the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) score of 450 and higher may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. Applicant must submit the TOEFL/TOEIC official copies of test score. TOEFL/TOEIC scores are valid for two years from the exam date.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY (KSA’s): To be rated best qualified applicants must have demonstrated possession of the following KSA’s essential to the performance of the duties of the positions:
a. Knowledge of computer equipment, operating systems, and maintains the work station.
b. Ability to installs or moves new, updated, or repaired computer linked card reader, line printer and teletypewriter.
c. Ability to provide guidance and assistance to customers such as problems and develop solutions and answer questions related to improper input, procedures, instructions for recurring jobs accessible through the terminal, remote job entry system to identify control data or parameter modifications required.
d. Must have an excellent command of English language to include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.

첫댓글 공고가 저렇게 오픈도 되네요. 저도 저 공고를 대충 보고 넘겼는데 지금 보니 within이 있네요 ㅎ 능력자님 말씀처럼 냄새가 나지만 그래도 규정상 저게 가능하니깐 내는거겠죠?
