Beside the rivers of Babylon, we sat and wept
as we thought /of Jerusalem.

Our tormentors insisted on [a joyful hymn]:
“Sing [us] [one of those songs of Jerusalem]!”

Our 우리의 tormentors 고문자들이 insisted on 고집했습니다 a joyful 기쁜 hymn 찬송가를:
“Sing 노래하라 [us 우리에게] [one 하나를 of those 그런 songs 노래들의 of Jerusalem 예루살렘의]!”

전쟁과 포로라는 혹독한 응보를 받는 유배지 상황에서 즐거운 찬미의 노래가 나오긴커녕 눈물도 메말랐을 건데
신약 신자들도 범죄 하다가 죄의 포로로 마귀 땅으로 유배가면 하나님의 찬미가를 즐거이 부를 수가 없을 것이다

4 Here in a foreign land,
how can we sing /about the Lord?
4 Here 여기 in a foreign 낯선 land 땅에서,
how 어떻게 can we 우리가 sing 노래합니까 /about the Lord 주님께 대해서?

* 주님께서 통치하시는 땅이 아니면 낯선 마귀 땅이고 온갖 악독이 행해지기에 찬미대신 신음과 절규만 나올 것이다

If I forget you, O Jerusalem,

“Destroy 파괴하라 it 그것을!” they ㄱ들은 yelled 고함쳤습니다.
“Level 평평하게 하라 it 그것을 /to the ground 땅바닥에!”

On the day () Jerusalem fell, they shouted,
“Completely destroy the city!
Tear down [every building]!”

* 어린아이를 잔인하게 죽인 바벨론 군인의 자식에게도 똑같이 해 줄 사람은 복이 있다는 말은
내 대신 복수를 해 주기를 소원하는 말인데 신약신자 입장에서 들으면 너무 심한 저주가 아닌가 싶으나
눈에는 눈으로라는 정의가 허용된 구약시대가 아닌 현대라도 그런 악랄한 자들은 법의 심판을 받으니
구약 때나 신약 때나 차별 없이 하나님의 정의는 범죄한 모든 사람에게 공평하게 심판구현되는 것이다
