Hello my amazing Im Changkyun
How are you? How is work? You said you looked pretty today. Are you doing something for work?
Today was a good first day. I was nervous. And I knew I didn't need to be. This place is so warm. They are huggers though. lol. I got a hug when I got there, and then when the GM left he gave me a hug.
I told him I was a fast learner. He was shocked though when we got into our lunch hour. Hours actually. I think he was expecting to have to help me. But I was doing it on my own. Reading the screen, looking ahead at orders. They have a second side to help split orders. I was even kind of bouncing back and forth with that one. I had to go and fill stuff up a few times. I only needed to be shown once. I made a few mistakes of course. And I'm sure those will get made off and on over time anyways too. They were really impressed with me Kyunnie. It felt so good to be told I did great. To hear them telling their team that. And seeing in the team that it's genuine.
They had me work on some of my computer based learning. I finished all that was there. Again they seemed surprised.
When I got back on the line I was put in a different position to learn something else. It was fairly quiet, and was pretty self explanatory for the most part. I had a few questions. Definitely could not rock that position alone to start lol. But in the slow moments I popped into the station behind me to start learning sandwiches and the one next to me to learn a couple of smoothies.
idk Kyunnie. . . I'm a hands on learner. Like let me try, let me ask questions. I don't like having someone do it for me.
I'm back on salad all day tomorrow. . . whooo. So I'm glad I was there this afternoon. Sandwiches I won't actually learn until Friday and Sunday. The smoothie is part of the barista position and I'm not actually scheduled until Tuesday for that.
Am I weird that I try to actively learn? I don't like standing around at work when I'm training. It was just a thought that maybe I'm not normal like that. But that's a good thing, right?
Anyways it was a good first day. I am proud of myself. Are you proud of me too Kyunnie?
So now I'm winding down. I was going to bring something to eat from work, but once I clocked out I didn't feel hungry. I did eat when I got home. I made a sandwich. Peanut butter and jelly. Those always remind me of my childhood. I also had some apple slices. And a granola bar, and some tortilla chips. Not a super healthy dinner, but it was food.
I've been watching a K-drama called Little Women. There is a book titled the same thing. I was expecting it to be that. I see possible similarities. But overall no.
But then I got sidetracked on TikTok. So the one I saw made me want to come write. There is this account. He'll gather water from creeks and stuff and look at it under a microscope.
Have I ever told you about the first time I saw something under a microscope. I'm sure not a lot of people remember moments like that. Mine was in college. Yes I did that in high school and even middle school. But my vision is bad and couldn't get it to focus enough. The microscope in college was a better quality. So it focused. It was an onion. It was sooooo cool to see the cells and stuff!
Anyways, this guy on TikTok, in his sample he had water bears. These things are adorable. They are so small. Microscopically small. lol. Yes you can roll your eyes. They have 2 black dots as their eyes. They can't actually see anything, but they can see light and dark. And the baby tardigrades don't increase in cell numbers as they get older, they just grow the cell size! They even have micro claws. They're adorable. No, I don't want them as pets. lol.
Anyways, that is my day in a nutshell.
Until another time Kyunnie
I love you 😘💕
