(Beggars have no birthday and thieves have no conscience. He who works hard has no night and day, and he who lives true has no fear.)
(And there is no return to the lazy as there is no payday for the unemployed)
(Stupid ants lament that their bodies are too small to run as fast as deer, Smart ants pride themselves on being able to run on deer's bodies because of their small bodies.)
(Foolish people look into their shortcomings, grieve, and smart people find their strengths and show them off.)
얼굴이라도 낯설지 않다.( Angry faces are unfamiliar even if you know them, and smiling faces are not unfamiliar.)
(I don't want to see a frown even if it's a pretty face, and a smiling face is pretty even if it's a hateful face.)
고운 모래를 얻기 위해선 고운체가 필요하듯 고운 얼굴을 만들기 위해선 고운 마음이 필요하네.( Just as you need a fine body to get fine sand, you need a fine heart to make a fine face.)
(Just as you need a good plane to get a smooth tree, you need your present efforts to get a great future. A greedy person borrows another person's tools for his tools.)
(Then he stops rusting his tools. Foolish people do not stand on their own, but lean on others.)
(Then, he loses his strength to stand alone.)
(If you leave a sharp knife for a long time, it will rust, and the blade will become dull, Just as a sharp ax becomes rusty and dull when left for a long time, it rusts itself when left for a long time.)
(If you leave your worries and pain for a long time, it will rust and dull itself.)
(Don't brag about wearing a new dress and try not to get it dirty.)
(Don't brag about being better than others and try not to get ugly.)
(There are many clothes in the front house, but there are no hangers, and there are many hangers in the back house, but there are no clothes.)
(It would be nice to share, but if not, the person in the front always wears wrinkled clothes, and the person in the back always wears them.)
(The more clothes you wear, the warmer your body is, and the more you take off your greed, the warmer your heart is.)
(The longer clothes are worn, the thinner the thickness becomes, and the thicker the greed is.)
(The sorrow of the haves comes from the outside of the haves, and the sorrow of the haves comes from the outside of the good.)
(The sadness of people living alone comes from the outside of people living alone, and the sadness of the sick comes from the outside of healthy people.)
