Dear Hongjoong,
After what felt like a fountain of tears, I wanted to stop by and congratulate you on another milestone. With the completion of today’s tour date, you have officially toured North America three times!! To do that four years into your career is so admirable. I extend my sincerest congratulations!
I was looking forward to this fan project all tour. I even specifically came back to the pop up shop after I had already visited to ensure I could tape a message. While I was not in the final cut, I was so thankful to see my twin sister pop up on the screen! Her message came second in the video. She said,
i think ive grown up with you in a sense, and no matter how old i get, i will always remember you.
I got so emotional seeing her appear infront of Ateez. My sister and I love Ateez. I would venture to say we’re some of your biggest fans. Way back in October 2019, I happen to stumble across Ateez. Not long after, my sister became a fan as well. Ateez has become a commonality between us. Ateez is always a topic of discussion between us. Whenever the other is sad, we play Ateez music to cheer them up. During the lonely days of the pandemic, all I can remember is days filled my sister and Ateez. Because of you, I have happy memories in what could’ve been only troubling times.
It’s difficult to describe the impact you’ve had on our lives. Thank you for holding our hands as we walk with time. You’ve seen us through being 18 years old to being 21 years old. Today, I cried along with Ateez. Yet, they weren’t tears of sadness. I felt tears of gratitude and love. I love Ateez. I’ve learned so much in this journey with you, as we tackle our own obstacles along the way. It’s been a pleasure to walk beside you for such a long time. I hope I can always walk with you in this nature. Thank you for being someone my sister and I can rely on. Thank you for being just as you are.
Much love,
Alyssa
