Extra curricular Activities-
Numerous extra curricular activities (clubs, groups and activities) are available for both elementary and high school students. These activities help foster better German-American relations as well as provide opportunities for students to participate in an interest area. The activity program at the Kennedy School is an essential part of the Kennedy School, helping students develop their self-esteem, social cooperation and leadership skills as well as achieving the goal of integration of American and German students at the Kennedy School.
*Animal Rights Protection Group-teacher:Mrs. Green
*Barbershop-Barbershop is a musical style. It consists of four part harmony that is only sung a cappella. Every year, there usually is a boys chorus, a boys quartet, a girls chorus and a girls quartet. They perform at different events or even in the hallways during spirit week or at other occasions. Also, there are the always unforgettable Barbershop Soirees every March.
*Leadership-The course is a combination of lectures, discussions and activities related to questions pertaining to the study of leadership: why do we need leaders; what are the characteristics of a good leader; who are the model leaders of our world; when should followers take charge; where does leadership potential come from (are leaders born or made?); how does the leader motivate?

5점심
we don't really have 'lunch time'
everyone has their lunch when every they want to
usually it's 6th period
but, you could have class during 6th period
if so, you can't have lunch during 6th period, you have to have it before or after
if one's schedule if full in his or hers 6th period every day
after 6th period you have a long break for 20 minutes
(usually breaks are 7~8 minutes)
so you can eat your lunch there
or you can eat it during the class
depending on the teacher
(some teachers allow you to eat during their classes)
but if you have 6th period free,
lunch time gets REALLY BORING
cuz it's more than an hour
and hour and 10 minutes
and you have NOTHING TO DO

bosukhanul
hi
dannysuyi
Hi~~
bosukhanul
;
dannysuyi
It's been a long time since we met.
bosukhanul
yup~!
so, how's everything going?
dannysuyi
Great~ and you?
bosukhanul
me too.....
well I'm really tired
because we hosted 4 polish girls yesterday
dannysuyi
ha~ tell me more about it!//
bosukhanul
we did a joint concert with a polish choir
and 4 of them stayed at my house
dannysuyi
really??
bosukhanul
in febuary our choir went over to poland and had a joint concert there
it's fun............
dannysuyi
good! can I ask you something quickly?
bosukhanul
sure go ahead
dannysuyi
Tell me about your school life!!
bosukhanul
oh it's a really general question
umm would you like to start hearing about the studying part
or -the activity part? or-the teacher part?
or -the system part
dannysuyi
everything! go ahead
bosukhanul
okay
overall
it's fun to go to my school
but it's hard too
umm
it's a german-american school;
dannysuyi
okay, so.. that means./.
bosukhanul
it means, that you have to speaking both german and english
we also have a well developed music department
and language department
its essential to take German, English for graduation
and there's a possibility of taking Spanish and Latin and French so it's option.
bosukhanul
all of them are great courses, where you can actually learn A LOT
dannysuyi (ㅋㅋ유토피아.. 좋은거임.v) (06-05 14:16:33)
wow ~~ -□- amazing! never heard of such a thing in Korea!!!
bosukhanul (하늘이 흐른다.) (06-05 14:16:38)
our music department is also very famous
dannysuyi
Great~VVV tell me more about the music department
bosukhanul (하늘이 흐른다.) (06-05 14:17:18)
there are many many many different types of music activities you can do
for instance
there is a 'high school symphonic band'
'orchestra', 'jazz band'(if you can play any instrument)
we've won many prizes from different contests
then there's the singing part of the activity, 'high school concert choir'
so if you are a great singer,
there is a WIDE range of activities you can be part of
that's that about our music department
dannysuyi
"it sounds like a lot of fun! I'm so jealous"
bosukhanul (하늘이 흐른다.) (06-05 14:22:55)
puhahahahahahaha yup we have losts of fun
through out the year, we have various performances
musicals, choir concerts, plays
joint concerts, band concert...barbershop soiree
and much more... that;s all I can tell you I think
so!!! what else do you want to hear?
dannysuyi
umm, when's your summer vacation?
bosukhanul (하늘이 흐른다.) (06-05 14:25:19)
I'm not quite sure
the last week of June maybe?
dannysuyi
really, I want specific information.
bosukhanul
but I only have 3 days of school left
do you want to hear about that?
so if you're in 10th grade
you have to do 'Praktikum'
which is "Internship" in english
you have to find a job and work there for 2 weeks
you don't have to come to school on those weeks
dannysuyi
that sounds interesting.. //
bosukhanul
usually you find your job in those areas where you want to work later on
Internship starts next week
and after we come back from internship, we only have 3 more days untill summer vacation
dannysuyi
wow, that's great!
bosukhanul (하늘이 흐른다.) (06-05 14:28:41)
yup
dannysuyi
Oh, so, I wil have to start studying for the final exams...
bosukhanul (하늘이 흐른다.) (06-05 14:29:22)
oh....
well this week, I have to study for exams too
geography, and math test
and other projects
but it's only 3 days
(wednesday and thursday we don't go to school)
dannysuyi
oh well, tomorrow, I'm not going to go to school too.. hahaha!
bosukhanul
really?
bosukhanul
RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!some kind of celebration?
dannysuyi
well not quite 'celebrating'... it's sad....
bosukhanul
so you have anything else to ask?
dannysuyi
How about your lunch time~
bosukhanul
in school?
dannysuyi
yepp~
bosukhanul
umm
bosukhanul
we don't really have 'lunch time'
dannysuyi
what~~?? really~? no lunch time?? how come?
bosukhanul
everyone has their lunch when every they want to
usually it's 6th period
but,
you could have class during 6th period
dannysuyi
wow... I'm astonished. so free compared to Korea!!
bosukhanul
if so, you can't have lunch during 6th period, you have to have it before or after
hm mm..
for instance next year, all my 6th periods will be full with classes
and on mondays and fridays, I have choir rehersal during 6th period
but after 6th period you have a long break for 20 minutes
(usually breaks are 7~8 minutes)
so you can eat your lunch there
or you can eat it during the class
depending on the teacher
dannysuyi
then you have to finish eating within 20 minitues? that's gonna kill some people!
bosukhanul
well, some teachers allow you to eat during their classes
but if you have 6th period free,
lunch time gets REALLY BORING
cuz it's more than an hour and hour and 10 minutes
and you have NOTHING TO DO
dannysuyi
wow,.. so I've got so much! thanks...... lets get together some time.
bosukhanul
I would love you bye~
dannysuyi
bye~
