| MAJOR DUTIES: | | KWB-6 : Drives passenger bus, with rated capacity of 20 passengers and above on scheduled or special trips on or off the military reservation to transport personnel from one place to another. Follows prescribed schedules and routes with responsibility for maneuvering bus around narrow corners, narrow roadways, and within speed limits to avoid accident and injury to passengers for whose safety he is responsible. Oversees the loading and unloading of passengers and sees that only authorized personnel ride bus. Furnishes assistance to patients upon entrance or leaving bus; occasionally assists in the handling of litter cases. Drives trucks up to and including 1-ton capacity, with or without frontal drive; to transport personnel, articles and materials throughout the post and on public roads, for long and short hauls; assists with loading and unloading materials; assures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking cargo papers and by visual observation; completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records; fills out driver's accident reports, in case of an accident. Makes minor on-site repairs to furnishings, equipment (baby care equipment, toys, playground equipment, electrical appliances etc.), and facilities (cleans stoppage in plumbing, replace washers in facets, replace burned-out fuses and light bulbs, and other conditions requiring minor maintenance), as necessary. Performs a variety of cleaning tasks. Cleans Child, Youth & School Services Division, School Age Services Program using brooms, mops, lightweight vacuum cleansers, and lightweight floor scrubbers and buffers. Performs other duties as assigned. | | WORKING CONDITION : Working outdoors and indoors. Subject to dust and fumes. While driving, there is a constant exposure to traffic hazards. Indoor areas are normally adequately heated, lighted, and ventilated, exposure to dust and disagreeable odors. | | QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: | | EXPERIENCE: Six months of specialized experience which is progressively responsible experience in operating and/or supervising the operation of the specific type of equipment of the position to be filled.
Applicants must possess a ROK driver’s license (1st Class Large-type) and successfully pass a USFK performance test for the type of equipment to be operated.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY: 1. The American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT) score of 34 is required. 2. The passing score of former English Language Proficiency Test (C Series) may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. 3. The TOEFL score of 360 (or 70 on the computer-based test) or TOEIC score of 250 may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. Applicant must indicate the TOEFL/TOEIC score on the application (item #17) and submit official copies of test scores. TOEFL and TOEIC scores are valid for two years from the exam date.
