기도 Prayer
이번 주 this Sunday by 정무선 집사 deaconess Muson, Chong
다음 주 next Sunday by 홍승균 집사 deaconess Seunggyun, Hong
교독문 Responsive Reading 시편 Psalm 4
Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress;
be merciful to me and hear my prayer.
How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods? Selah
Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself;
the LORD will hear when I call to him.
In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Selah
Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD.
Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?"
Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
You have filled my heart with greater joy
than when their grain and new wine abound.
I will lie down and sleep in peace,
for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
How should we keep the Lord’s day?
Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. Genesis 2:1-3
Did God rest after the creation? Rather, immediately all the history of the Bible began and we see God serving there. The Lord was criticized by the Pharisees for working on the Sabbath. Then, did you take a day off like tired office workers? God is a spirit, so he is not tired. God's rest should be considered as the following phrase.
He who has already entered his resting place will rest his work like God rest his work. Hebrews 4:10
No one interprets the sabbath mentioned in this passage as referring to the sabbath of the day of the week. This sabbath here is an absolute sabbath for those who have completed the journey of all faiths. It's like how Jesus felt on the cross, "I accomplished it all."
Then how about the holiness and blessings you gave to the seventh day? After all, the end of all God's creation is holy. This holiness is a sacredness that exists only in God. But giving it to the seventh day means God's presence. In other words, there is absolutely no holiness without God's presence. In other words, God finished all the processes of creation and made them holy by being there.
The seventh day doesn't mean the last day of the seven days or the first day. This seventh day means that all the processes of God's creation have been completed. According to this record, those who believe have been observing the Sabbath or the Sunday until today. And that day is called the Holy Holy Day. But its true meaning is like a kind of covenant to wait in faith for the end of God's creation by keeping the Lord.
As we've consistently said, this process of creation here refers to a new creation of God, each of whom has a history of his personality and life. At the end of this process, as recorded in the Hebrew Book, God will enter a true rest like he is resting his work. And as I said above, this will be the same as the feeling that the Lord has "achieved."
God's presence does not proceed unilaterally without any preparation. Of course, there are no conditions required there. But for this purpose, God is personally proceeding with a new process of creation for each person. We are doing this through every word and circumstance you give us. And the process doesn't give up or alter in the middle. This is because we know the essence of every life.
Why do you observe Sunday? Don't think that doing this makes you holy. The Lord is a covenant. If you don't follow it well, you don't keep it because you're afraid of being punished. There is no holiness on the Sunday, Sabbath or day. Only when God's new creation to each is completed, he promised to be holy with God's presence.
