개인적으로도 스타우트(흑맥주라고도 하죠. 물론 엄밀히 말하면 흑맥주도 잘못된 말이지만)를 좋아하기도 하구요.
그래서 선호도도 스타우트가 높습니다.
그리고 평소에 접하지 못하는 맥주들이
이곳에 숨어있습니다.

또한 페스티벌에서 처음 공개하거나

<Bo Bristle>
There are some things in life that you should be able to take for granted and great tasting beer is one of them. Bo Bristle beers are Grade a tonsil tinglers with the added benefit of putting hairs on your chest. We started the brewery in 2010 with the purpose of making exceptional beer which tastes like your favourite brew only far more interesting, using 100% natural malt and whole leaf hops. Bo Bristle where great beer is born and bottled alive!
At Bo Bristle beer is in our blood – when we're not making it we're drinking it! Originally called Breweyed and renamed Bo Bristle, we started the brewery in Banagher, Co. Offaly in 2010 with the purpose of making great beers for people who know their beer. Bo Bristle was officially launched last year at the Irish Craft Beer Festival in the RDS where it completely sold out. Our aim is to spread the word of Bo and get even more people enjoying its great taste.

We are constantly working to bring you the best possible pint. We use brewing techniques that have evolved over(진화하다) thousands of years and we source all our natural ingredients from around the globe. We've recently invested in creating a state of the art brewing facility using the very latest technology that gives us complete control over every stage of the process, from the fresh hops to the bottle tops. That means every single drop of our beer meets the rigorously high standards we demand.
Bo Bristle IPA 5% ABV (★★★★)
The IPA is the flagship Bo Bristle brew. The recipe was crafted over a number of years by our master brewer. The IPA balances passionfruit(패션 프루트: 열대 덩굴과일로 강렬한 톡 쏘는 향미는 만다린 오렌지, 파인애플, 오렌지의 향을 품고 있다.) & tropical fruit hops with biscuity ‘marris otter malts’(이 몰트는 Brewdog IPA is DEAD(Hardcore IPA 9.2%에도 들어간다.) to create the distinctive Bo Bristle taste. Refreshing brew with a delicious pineapple aroma and full bodied citrus flavor(파인애플의 향과 풀바디의 감귤 향). Dry hopped for extra bite.
MALTED BARLEY: A delicate blend of three varieties of British and German malts.
HOPS: A mixture of wild Australian and classic American hops.
Bo Bristle Amber Ale 4.5% ABV (★★)
Our Amber(호박색) Ale is the latest brew from the Bo Bristle brewery. It's rich amber colour is achieved through a brew of the finest American citrus hops infused(우려내다) with fine malted barley. The result needs to be tasted for itself. A bright, delicious amber coloured ale with a subtle malt sweetness matched appetizingly with a blend of American citrus hops.
MALTED BARLEY: Quality British pale ale barley blended with a mixure of German flavours.
HOPS: A blend of complimentary American hops.
Carrig Lager 4.3% ABV (★)
A full flavoured lager that has a gentle malty sweetness that is finished with a moderate bitterness from the blend of American and classic German hops.
Rowers Red Ale 4.3% ABV (★★)
A traditional Irish Red Ale with a difference!. It pours to a ruby red colour & is blended from five different speciality malts to give it a distinctive(독특한, 구별되는) toffee/apple(토피는 사탕수수의 진액, 농축액, 토피애플은 사과에 설탕시럽 같은 토피용 시럽을 코팅한 것으로 사탕막대를 꽂아 즐기는 디저트의 일종) nose. The hops used give the ale a very smooth finish with an abundance(풍부한) of dark fruit flavours.
American Brown Ale 6.2% ABV (★★★)
A complex reddish-brown(붉은 갈색) ale with a lovely caramel beginning that ends in roasted coffee and bitter chocolate. Generously dry hopped for a larger than life punch.

<Carlow Brewing Company>
Carlow Brewing Company, also known as O’Hara’s Brewery was founded in 1996 by the O’Hara family. The original brewery was located in the 19th century “Goods Store” beside the train station in Carlow town. That building had been unused for many years but after significant renovation the brewery got its first 1,500 litre brew into a tank in 1998. The first few years were not easy for the fledgling(신생) brewery as the challenges and realities of the beer scene that prevailed in Ireland at that time quickly became apparent. However, the company still grew a solid local support base and for the first couple of years focused on that market, while also taking its first forays into the export market in the UK. In 2000 O’Hara’s Irish Stout, won two gold medals at the International Brewing Awards, a high profile industry competition, and this success attracted a lot of international attention. Over the next couple of years, on the back of this success, the company successfully grew its customer base both at home and abroad. By 2006 it was becoming apparent that demand was outstripping supply and a decision was needed about the future development of the company. It was decided that a new building was required with a bigger brewhouse and more tank capacity. In 2008 the first sod was turned on a greenfield site in the O’Hara’s hometown of Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow. The first 6,500 litre brew was produced in August 2009 in a brand new brewhouse that is a direct scale up of the original. The record books show that this brew was a batch of O’Hara’s Irish Red. Two new brands were created, O’Hara’s Irish Pale Ale and O’Hara’s Leann Folláin during 2009/2010, bringing the core range up to 5 beers (O’Hara’s Irish Stout, O’Hara’s Irish Red and Curim Gold Wheat Beer/O’Hara’s Irish Wheat being the other three). In the first year at the new brewery production increased by 20% and in the second it grew by a further 50%. In 2011 a further expansion is planned and this will include a new kegging line as well as more tank capacity and additional warehousing space. We are always looking forward at Carlow Brewing Company and having had to move once in our history we have built in plenty of room for expansion on the new site. Our beers are now sold in more than 20 countries worldwide in both draught and bottle forms.
O’Hara’s Irish Red ~ 4.3% abv (★★) 많이 마셔봐서 별 2개.
This Red stands out in this beer style category. The malt body of this ale is as impressive as a bock, albeit in a uniquely Irish way. With an incredibly smooth malt body complimented by caramel tones and perfectly balanced in bitterness, this Irish Red tastes much more complex that it is.
Appearance: Ruby red in colour and pours with a dense lasting white head.
Aroma: There is an unmistakable fruity and almost herbal(풀, 약초) quality to the aroma due to the late addition of Mt. Hood hops.
Flavour: A traditional light hop flavour balances the sweet malty caramel taste which finishes with a distinctive roast bite.
Aftertaste: The addition of a pinch of roast barley during the brewing process lends a distinctive bite which is balanced by a crisp medium bitterness.

O’Hara’s Irish Pale Ale ~ 5.2% abv (★★) 많이 마셔봐서 별 2개.
A Contemporary style IPA with an Irish twist. Combining the balance of European IPAs with the generous dry hopping of APAs, this beer is everything an IPA should be and more. Zesty and refreshingly bitter, the finish is long. With a copper tone(구리 톤) body topped with a lightly carbonated(탄산) head, the dry hopping brings an intense aroma and lasting array(지속적인 배열) of fruit and floral notes. Originally launched in 2009 as “The Goods Store IPA”, a cash conditioned beer, this was the last recipe developed by Carlow Brewing Company in the old Goods Store premises in Carlow town where the brewery was originally housed. This beer quickly gained a lot of momentum(추진력) and has received excellent reviews from beer critics and the CAMRA group. This Irish Pale Ale was added to the O’Hara’s core brand range in 2010 and was voted Beer of the Year - Grand Prize Winner 2010 by the members of IrishCraftBrewers.com.
Description: Contemporary style I.P.A. dry hopped for extra aroma.
Appearance: Rich golden colour with a white head.
Flavours: This pale ale has a light malt base with just the right mouth feel to allow the hop character to predominate(능가하다). Grapefruit like bitterness is full and lasting and is balanced by a zesty citrus burst of aroma from the late addition of cascade hops.
Aftertaste: The Citrus flavours give way at the end to the floral, spicy bitterness of Amarillo hops.
O’Hara’s Double IPA ~ 7.5% abv (★★★)
A full-bodied, full on Double I.P.A. combining caramel and malt flavours with a well-balanced and substantial bitterness. Light carbonation allows the full flavour of this Double IPA to shine through. At 7.5% abv, the high alcohol content is balanced with a caramel sweetness and a full bodied malt character. Generously hopped and dry hopped, it is a true treat for fans of the style and beer lovers alike.

This full-bodied extra Irish stout is a fantastic example of how good stout can taste. Flavours of dark chocolate tones with a hint of vanilla combine with the mild mocha aroma. Opaque(불투명한) black in appearance with tan(햇볕에 태운) head, this luxurious stout has a classic European hop bitterness given a refreshing bite after the chocolate subsides.
Appearance: Deep black colour with a thick(두터운), tan, almost brown head. Luxurious chocolate aroma with smokey notes and coffee undertones.
Flavours: This full malt stout is laden with complex chocolate and coffee flavours balanced by a delicate hoppy spiciness.
Aftertaste: There is a distinctive smoky aftertaste to this stout that lingers on the tongue.

The flagship of the O’Hara’s brand, this uniquely Irish stout brings one back to how Irish stouts used to taste, with a robust(단단한) roast flavour and full-bodied smooth mount feel. The roast flavours lead to a dry espresso-like finish. On the nose the drinker experiences a rich and complex coffee aroma with light liquorice(리코리스: 감초이며, 단맛이 난다.) notes.
CURIM Gold ~ 4.3% abv (★★)
Inspired by an old Celtic word for Beer, “Curmi/Cuirim”, this delightfully refreshing wheat beer echoes the Celtic heritage of the region where it is brewed today. Curim has a higher hope rate than the mainstream wheat beers which leaves a slight tart residue, enough to balance the delicate fruity flavours of peach, banana and plum. Bright golden hues topped by a foamy white head. Curim finishes with just a hint of hops to provide thirst-quenching(갈증 해소) satisfaction. Curim Gold was critically acclaimed by the late Michael Jackson when he selected it amongst his top 10 favourite wheat beers in the world (The Independent, London, 2002).
O’Hara’s Natural Blonde ~ 4.3% abv (★★)
The best of Irish malts combine with a single hop to make this thirst quenching blonde beer. Higher in bitterness than other blondes, this beer breaks the mould while retaining the characteristics of a natural blonde. Brewed to the European Blonde style, this beer is approaching a cross between a pilsner and a blonde with the smoothness of a blonde ale and a bite that is notably stronger and lasting.
O’Hara’s Helles Craft Lager ~ 4.3% abv (★★)
Helles is a traditional lager style which has been craft brewed at O’Hara’s for maximum flavour. Hopped several times to create a unique blend of textures and aromas, O’Hara’s Helles is higher in bitterness than main stream lagers and delivers a unique bite with a clean balanced finish. The malty body pays tribute to traditional European lagers and the extra-long conditioning time of six weeks allows the maximum array of lager flavours to develop. The combination of noble hops, speciality malts and a classic lager yeast strain allow the esters and hop aromas to combine and balance perfectly.

This is a high gravity(무게감), high alcohol all malt dark Red ale. The balance of sweetness, bitterness and alcohol combined in a smooth full mouth feel to make this a must try for any fans of this Style. This is balanced with the typical rich malt aromas we have come to expect from O’Hara’s Ale’s. The extra hopping also lends a new depth to the aroma making it a complete beer. O’Hara’s Barley Wine is cask-conditioned in limited edition for the 2013 Festival.
O’Hara’s Dry Hopped Irish Red ~ 4.3% abv (★★★)
We have combined the best of two of our favourite beers to create an exciting Hoppy Red Ale. All the malt richness and caramel tones we have come to expect from O’Hara’s Irish Red has been married with the amazing aromas obtained from dry hopping (as used in our IPA). The balance between opulent(화려한) malty flavour and refreshing zesty hop aroma will leave you coming back for more.

O’Hara’s & J W Sweetman Collaboration Brew ~ 6.3% abv (★★★★)
Trappist style(트라피스트 스타일 맥주: 수도원에서 만드는 맥주를 말하며, 벨기에의 트라피스트(Trappist) 맥주는 수도원의 엄격한 규율에 따라 생산되는데 색상이 진하고 쓴맛이 강하다. 알코올이 8~12.5%까지 높지만, 부드러우면서도 신맛이 강한 것이 특징이다.) Dubbel(두벨: 트라피스트 수도원에서는 보통 알코올 도수별로 3가지의 맥주를 구별하여 생산하는데, 이 과정은 차를 우려내는 이치와 같다. 맥주를 만들 때 몰트의 성분을 완전히 추출하기 위해 보리몰트를 넣고 세 차례 물을 통과시키는데, 이 때마다 알코올 도수가 달라지게 된다. 알코올 도수가 가장 약한 ‘싱글’은 시중에 유통되지 않고 수도원에서 소비된다. 두벨은 알코올 도수가 6~6.5%, 트리펠은 9%정도. 두벨은 진한 색이 나고, 트리펠은 엷은 색이 난다.). McGrath’s Irish Red Ale ABV 4.3% (★★)
McGrath's Irish Red is named in honour of the 'Mighty' Master McGrath, the greatest greyhound to have ever raced and who won the hare coursing Waterloo Cup 3 times in 1868, 1869 and 1871. Owned by the 2nd Baron, Lord Lurgan of Lurgan, Co Armagh Master McGrath became the town's most famous sporting hero being renowned both nationally and internationally. During his racing career he was defeated only once in 37 course meetings. A medium bodied traditional ale, combining the caramel sweetness of the malts with toasted biscuit notes, balanced carefully by the earthy hops, finishing slightly dry but smooth on the palate.

Bohemians are creative dreamers who defy convention. Our Bohemian Pilsner is just that, an unorthodox lager with complex biscuity malt, soft rounded bitterness and a twist of spice from the noble Saaz and Hallertau hops.

Launched at this beer fest. American Amber Ale. The Aussie hop harvest has just arrived in Europe and we piled the Galaxy and Ella into this limited edition brew.
<Five Lamps>
The 5 lamps Dublin Lager 4.2% ABV (★★★)
A traditional Czech style pilsner. And while it is considered traditional in that part of the world it is a little different to the lagers we are used to here. For one, it has a slightly more complex taste profile than the commercially produced lagers, with a biscuity malt flavour and some fruit notes. The bitterness which is provided by the hops, while a little higher than we are used to with commercial lagers are still relatively soft and rounded. It has a slightly darker colour than mainstream lagers due to the caramalt we use and the touch of spice you might pick up on is courtesy of noble Saaz hops. Crisp and refreshing as all good lagers should be but with a little something more.
The Liberties Dublin Ale 4.7% ABV (★★)
A brew with a rich golden colour, full body and a balanced rounded finish. Sweet and toasty malt notes abound from a unique blend of pale and coloured malts. The balance between the residual sweetness of the malts and the character of the hops selected is rounded out by the floral hop notes of the late addition aromatic Goldings variety, a very traditional ale hop. This ale we like to describe as accessible, easy to drink, with a modest.
<Franciscan Well>
Rebel Lager 4.2% ABV (★★)
European-style pilsner. A light gold coloured lager with a delicate floral aroma from the Saaz hop. There is also a hint of vanilla on the clean nose. There are crisp, spicy hops on the palate with some malty notes. The finish is slightly mouth-drying and has an excellent lasting bitterness.
Blarney Blonde 4.2% ABV (★★★)
Kölsch-style Blonde Ale. Pale malt makes up 85 percent of the grist with the remainder being wheat malt. Perle hops are used for bittering with Hersbrucker added at boil end for aroma. Blarney Blonde has a full golden colour and has a soft sweet aroma of tropical fruits, a nose very reminiscent of new world chardonnay. The palate exhibits a delicate tropical fruitiness and the finish has a restrained hop bitterness. This is a lovely berr, refreshing and light, delicately fruity and a great interpretation of a Kölsch beer, which could be a fine match for delicate fish dishes
Friar Weisse 4.7% ABV (★★★)
South German style unfiltered wheat beer. Friar Weisse pours an orangey colour and has deep yeasty cloudiness. There is a classic nose of intense banana, some lemon and a whiff of loves. In the mouth there is tart fruit, ripe bananas and the desired yeast bite. Bananas again on the finish, which is quenchingly tart and has a good crisp acidity. This beer would accompany certain fruity, tangy desserts such as lemon meringue as well as a variety of dishes from seafood to chicken.
Shandon Stout 4.3 % ABV (★★★★)
Irish dry stout. In common with other stouts, Shandon Stout is dispensed with a large quantity of nitrogen in the gas mix to get the expected creamy head. It
pours black with red highlights and a dark beige head. The nose is lightly roasty and smoky with chocolate notes. There is a good roastiness on the palate joined by dark fruits and again possibly a hint of smokiness. The finish has a decent level of roasted bitterness, long-lasting with a hint of sour fruit, making for a good stout.
Purgatory Pale Ale 5 % ABV (★★)
An Anglo-American style pale ale combining a nutty malt flavour and a strong floral hop character imparted by Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. On draught an cask (dry hopped with cascade)
Rebel Red 4.3% ABV (★★★)
4.3 % Irish Red Ale. A reddish amber-brown ale with a lovely caramel and lightly fruity nose reminiscent of raisins or dark fruits. There are dark fruits in the mouth and the malty sweetness is balanced by a good hop bitterness. The finish is fruity and delicately bitter. A great Irish red ale of character, not too hoppy or bitter. Another excellent Franciscan Well brew that could go well with ribs or any dish with a sweetish sauce. Available on Cask (Dry Hopped with Admiral)
I.P.A 7.5% ABV (★★★)
Indian Pale Ale. Brewed with Citra Hops which impart interesting citrus and tropical fruit characters to the beer. This I.P.A is Dry hopped to preserve the delicate aromas and is balanced with a subtle malty sweetness.
Coffee Porter 7.5% ABV (★★★★)
A Mellow dessert porter with mild burnt coffee on the start and hints of dark fruits on the finish. Topped off with a fragrant arabica aroma imparted by beans roasted in cork coffee roasters. Cask.

This dry porter boasts its roastiness up front on the nose which carries through to the taste. Striking a great balance to make this a great session beer.
Buried at Sea 4.5% ABV (★★★)
Our rich, full bodied sweet stout is brewed with milk sugars (lactose) and chocolate in the kettle. These characteristics combined with the large amount of roasted malts make a decadent yet largely refreshing stout.
