EBS 입트영 February 23 Tuesday
Topic
Talk about 영어마을 in English.
Model Response
There is strong drive to learn English in Korea. From children in elementary school to people who have jobs, Koreans invest an incredible amount of time and effort to become better in English. A great example of this trend is what's called "English villages." These facilities are basically themed parks where only English is used. It's like a miniature society where everything is done in English. Children normally come to these places to experience daily life in English. They interact with native speakers there to brush up on their communication skills. Some English villages offer English camps that last for several weeks. English villages have sprung up like mushrooms in the last decade and there are currently more than a dozen of them around the country.
