8. (D). a number of + 복수 명사 + 복수 동사이고 the number of + 복수 명사 + 단수 동사이다.
13. (C). another + 단수 명사인데, creatures가 복수형인 것을 보면 another가 other로 바뀌어야 한다.
14. (B). other + 복수 명사이고 another + 단수 명사이기 때문에 another를 써야 한다.
① Since와 for(때때로 before)는 오직 완료 시제와 함께 쓰인다.(예외 없음)
수동태 문장 : 목적어 + be p.p + by 주어 |

<실전 문제 풀이>
이 문제의 또 다른 풀이법은 vocalist and has 의 사이에 있는 등위접속사 and에 의해서 앞의 시제 won이 과거이므로 has가 had로 바뀌어야 한다.
4. (A). be p.p이므로 awarded가 되어야 한다.
7. (B). that 이하의 시제가 was이므로 finding이 found로 바뀌어야 한다.
9. (A). begun은 과거분사(p.p)형이므로 be동사와 더불어 사용되어져야 한다.
18. (C). 20 percent of our forested territory에서 분수(퍼센트)of 이하가 단수이므로 본동사는 수 일치에 의해서 단수 동사가 되어야 한다.
① Can be p.p ② have been + p.p / have + p.p
③ to be + p.p / to have been ④ be + being

9. like, unlike, alike
EXAMPLE |

<실전 문제 풀이>

관사는 크게 부정관사(A, AN)와 정관사(The)로 나눌 수 있다.

① 명사 ② to 부정사 ③ that절 ④ 동명사 |
하지만 TOEFL 시험에서는 오직 ②, ③번만 it이 받기 때문에 it의 운명은 바로 it 다음에 to나 that절의 유무에 결정된다.

<실전 문제 풀이>
1. (B). blank뒤에 to부정사나 that절이 보이지 않기 때문에 it이 없는 (B)가 정답이다.
2. (D). 먼저 V-1공식을 이용하면 동사가 두개(states와 is given and absorbed)이므로 접속사가 한 개 필요하다. 또 it이 to부정사나 that절만을 받는다는 사실을 이용해도 (C)나 (B)를 답에서 제거할 수 있다.
3. (C). 그 다음에 it 다음에 to나 that절이 보이지 않으므로 it이 없는 (C)가 답이다.
5. (B). 주어 variables가 복수이기에 (D)를 제낄 수 있고 괄호 안에 필요한 것이 동사이므로 (C)를 제낄 수 있다. it 다음에 to forecast라는 to부정사가 보이기 때문에 (B)가 답이 된다.
6. (A). that 이하에 동사가 와야 하고 괄호 다음에 to 나 that이 보이지 않으므로 it은 올 수 없다.
7. (A). it은 오직 that과 to만을 받으므로 (A)가 정답으로 적격이다.
◈ able / enable ◈ accept / except ◈ after / afterwards ◈ amouts / number / quantity ◈ aside / beside / besides ◈ do / make ◈ live / life / alive ◈ people / person ◈ separate / apart ◈ some / somewhat ◈ later / latter ◈ between / among |

EXAMPLE |
SOLUTION |
A great (number / amount) of buffalo were shot from train windows in nineteenth-century America. |

EXAMPLE |
SOLUTION |

EXAMPLE |
SOLUTION |
The grenade is a small bomb (A) done to be thrown by (B) band (c) or shot from (D) a modified rifle. |
정답 : A. |
EXAMPLE |
The argument was kept alive by the politician. A live match |

SOLUTION |
Alfred cut the photograph (separate / apart). |
EXAMPLE |
SOLUTION |
Although fascinating, the book is (some / somewhat) depressing. |
EXAMPLE |
SOLUTION |
If offered red or white, I'd choose the (latter / later). |
EXAMPLE |
They talked about it among themselves. |
He divided the money between the two children. |

예를 들면, I knew (주절) that he had to go.
Everyone was surprised at (주절) what he brought for the picnic.

<실전 문제 풀이>
(A)는 That절 내에 would be의 주어가 없기 때문에 답이 될 수 없고 would be의 주어와 is often presented의 주어를 동시에 이끌 수 있는 (D)가 적절하다.

아저도 프린트가 없어서 ㅠㅠ 모니터로 풀면 햇갈려서 못풀겠고 ㅋ;

I pointed to what looked like bird.
