There have been attempts to understand culture from a missionary anthropological perspective, but from a pastoral counseling point of view, studies on cultural transformation and further reformist cultural transformation are insignificant. Therefore, this study is an attempt at phenomenological research on cultural transformation from the perspective of pastoral counseling. The preceding areas to be addressed in attempting cultural transformation are Calvin's theology and culture, which can be said to be the founder of reformism. Based on Calvin's theology of creation, corruption, and restraint, cultural transformation was examined, and as dependent variables, Christ transforming Culture, which transforms the culture of Richard Niebuhr that follows the Reformed Church theological tradition related to cultural transformation, and as a model of cultural transformation, a method of research centered on the Christian community was applied.
As another example, the deeply rooted consciousness structure and communication in language among Koreans were analyzed through Eric Bahn's exchange analysis and suggested for transformation from a biblical standpoint. As an example, the contents analyzed by extracting conversations and discussions of those who ran after the 17th president of Korea were used as data.
In order to try more densely on reformist cultural transformation from the perspective of pastoral counseling, theology, mission, ministry, and discipleship will be presented as mediating variables.
The significance of this study is to achieve reformist cultural transformation from the perspective of pastoral counseling. In order to restore the biblical culture that collapsed due to sin, it was meaningful to establish a biblical worldview, to have complementary exchanges through TA exchange analysis, to be positively aware of the aspects that flow negatively, and to help communicate.
