1 My dear children, I am writing this /to you /so that you will not sin.
But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate //who pleads our case /before the Father.
He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.
1 My dear children 나의 귀한 자녀들이여, I 나는 am writing 쓰고 있다 this 이것을 to you 너희에게
so that 그래서 you 너희가 will not sin 죄 짓지 않도록.
But 그러나 if 만약 anyone 누구라도 does sin 범죄하면,

before the Father 성부 하나님 앞에서.

7 Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you;
rather it is an old one () you have had from the very beginning.
This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message () you heard /before.

but hates a fellow believer, that person is still living /in darkness.
