Flak Jacket is hands down the best sunglass ever, I like them with the XLJ lens for superior coverage and comfort the new coatings are insane, i got mine with the transitions lens, they work great in any light.

I have an older pair of regular Flak Jackets and just bought the XLJ's off SAC. To me they seem cheaply made compared to the year and 1/2 old ones I have. Don't get me wrong, I love Oakleys and I am keeping them (especially at the SAC price), I just think my older ones are made better or out of better material. Perhaps I am crazy and they are just as strong just lighter...

What do you say about quality? If your talking performance eyeware, you say Oakley. These are snug, and form fitting. I use them everyday for golf, biking, and just lookin good. I have a narrow face and they fit great. The lens size is proportionate, not oversized. If you questioning the buy,in my opionion,don't...You DO NOT use the cleaner though. The enclosed bag/wipe and a little warm breath is all you need to remove fingerprints or sweat. To summerize, they rock!

I have always been a huge Oakley fan, and when it came time to buy another pair of sunglasses the brand was a no-brainer. I bought these mainly for cycling - I like the more wrap-around lenses you get with the Js. These are a bit larger than "normal" glasses but I like the looser fit for my average size head, and the extra room for my bushy eyebrows. My only complaint may be that the lenses seem to creak a bit when I adjust them on my face. This is the first time I have every bought sunglasses with replacement lenses so I'm not sure if this is typical of all replacement lens sunglasses or just the XLJ design, or perhaps just my glasses... Either way the creak is not enough for me to want to buy another brand nor another style.

I am a huge Oakley fan, and the Flak Jackets are the best pair I think I have ever owned. I bought a pair of the Seattle Mariners MLB ones becuase why not, and the next thing I knew, I was wearing them for everything. Playing baseball, golfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, walking on the beach, etc. I was worried at first because I didn't want my expensive sunglasses breaking, but they stick to your face really well, are super-lightweight, and can take a beating. The lenses are distortion-free. Completely. I now have a pair of Black Iridium lenses for the baseball diamond and sunny days, and VR28 lenses for the golf course and lower-light/contrast conditions. I like the XLJs because I have a larger face and I like the extra protection. Plus, they look cooler. Get 'em!

I have now had the pleasure of playing golf in polarized and non polarized oakley lenses and in a couple of other company's as well (Smith, MJ). I actually find that finding the ball in the sky or on the green is easier in non-polarized lenses. The glare that comes off of the ball is the thing you see when looking from a long ways away. My current golfing sunglasses are Flak Jackets with the G30 lens (non polarized) which I love. When going to the lake, I still use the polarized. Jeremy

These are by far the best sunglasses I have ever worn. Almost make you feel like you're wearing a flak jacket lol. Seriously tho, they are great. Wear 'em golfing, and I still retain good depth reception. Snowboarding, same thing. The XLJ lens type fits my face well, I don't get that annoying sunny outline around the edge of the glasses. Damn near impossible to break the frames; trust me, I'm hard on glasses. Well worth the $150 you would spend on here, which is still a considerable discount from and Oakley store.

After loosing my 1st. pair to Lake Michigan, I knew there simply wasn't another Co. out there that could measure-up to the absolute all-around perfection these (in Rx) glasses provide! I ordered my replacement 24hrs. after the disturbing loss and have not looked-back(w/o my Flak's) since!

These Flak Jacket XLJ Sunglasses are the best. Aerodynamic in every way. The lenses are great in the morning, midday, or when the sun goes down; they blow my polarized lenses out of the water. They look great, they fit great. Best purchase of the year. Can't go wrong.

The Flak Jackets do everything I want of them for biking--great coverage for wind and sun, fit securely on my head or helmet, and most importantly the hydrophobic coating works incredibly. I used to take my glasses off for long climbs, but no need with these--the sweat (or water you dump on your head )runs right off with barely perceptible streaking. They'll be perfect for skiing as well.

These are awesome. I love the racing red lenses. The eye coverage is great and the fit is nice on my head (medium to large). Definitely a must buy for runners and cyclists. That's what I plan on using them for. A great buy.

Check the Transitions, they are great. I ordered the jet black/persimmon trans and they quickly replaced my smiths as my new favorite lenses. I thought smith knew what they were doing when it came to lense quality, but these Transition Flaks are far better. Water, sweat, oil and pretty much any other thing you could think of just beads off of these bad boys. I love nice glasses and think that any active person should treat themselves to these Flaks. I have a medium-sized face and the XLJ's are fine. Check out the Oakley website to see what the different lenses are capable of doing in various conditions. They have a nice little interactive site set up for lenses.

Wow. I always wondered what all Oakley techno-jargon meant-- to boil it down these glasses kick ass. These Flak Jacks are so light and they fit my head perfectly. The XLJ lens gives me the extra coverage I need when I'm riding my bike. That hydrophobic coating on the lens makes water and other gunk bead up and fly away. I'm throwing my Smith Sliders in the effing garbage can.

I have a small head and these glasses are form-fitting and stay on regardless the activity. The lenses are crisp and you can swap out the lenses if you damage them or want to change colors. I mainly bought them to bike in and the do a great job of protecting from the wind and sun.

Best glasses EVER! I work as a Paramedic and absolutely love these glasses. I use them as sun/safety glasses during the day with the great dark lenses. During the night I just slam in my clear lenses and boom, I have safety glasses! They fit nice, never fall off, and feel great in any condition.

These glasses are perfect for anything, take them mountain biking and they are glued to your head, I crash plenty and they don't budge. You can even take them wake boarding, just don't wreck or you'll be watching your $150 sink to the bottom of the lake. These glasses look amazing also, plenty of compliments will be coming your way with these babies locked to your face.

These are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. I received a pair as a gift 2 years ago. I now own three pairs in different colors. These form fit to your head like no other. Sweat only makes the fit better. Besides being feather light, they never move. I wear these for all of my sporting activities as well as at work.

The first time I got a pair my dad gave them to me . I was 13 and took pretty good care of them but dont get a scratch on the lense or they will be ruined. But you can buy another pair of lense for $50. I just bought the XLJ's and they are stuck on my head when im playing baseball or riding the sea-doo. A good chunk of change out of your pocket but definatly worth it.

This is the first time I have ever owned a pair of Oakleys. These are probably the best sunglasses that you can get. I've had them for about a week and love how easy they are to clean. The case is very nice and the best thing is their interchangable lens.

I love my flak jackets! I bought them mainly for mountain biking, and have not been disappointed. The fit is great, and the G30 lens I ordered is the best.
