hello?
My name is Muju and I am a pharmacist who runs a pharmacy in Yeoncheon.
I hope everyone here today will be happy.
Are you happy?
If you ask me to define Buddhism in one word, I would say ‘happiness!’
It is not relative happiness, but absolute happiness.
A religious scholar said this.
“A person who has no understanding of other religions and only knows his own religion
“It’s like not knowing anything about your own religion.”
There are Buddhists here, people from neighboring religions, and people with no religion.
Today, on Buddha's birthday, I hope this will be an opportunity to briefly understand Buddhism.
Buddhism began after Shakyamuni Buddha achieved enlightenment.
Sakyamuni Buddha over 2,600 years ago
He was born as a prince in the Kapila Kingdom in India.
The world envies and wants to have it.
In short, he was a golden man, guaranteed money, power, and fame.
But as he grew up, he realized that people had something in common.
‘Birth, old, sick, dying’ (born, old, sick, dying)
I learned that I cannot resolve my fear, anxiety, and suffering.
So, in order to solve those problems and live a fundamentally happy life, he
At the age of 29, he abandoned the royal palace and became a monk.
After becoming a monk, he underwent all kinds of difficult training for six years and finally came to enlightenment.
What did the Buddha realize?
It is the essence of existence.
The essence of existence is ‘not fixed and independent,
‘We depend on each other and relate to each other according to causes and conditions.’
This is called Dependent Origination.
Since everything is a dependent entity, it is not fixed and changes.
It's painful not to know that things are changing.
Since everything changes, there is no fixed, independent entity.
This too shall pass!
And he told people, ‘To escape from suffering, you must realize the essence of existence.’
He taught me ‘how to live happily by realizing the essence of existence.’
Do you want to live happily without suffering?
Buddha's teachings are the best.
From 2,600 years ago to now and into the future
Countless people have benefited from Buddha's enlightenment and teachings.
You will be free from all suffering and enjoy a free and happy life.
To me, Buddhism is more than a religion, it is daily life and life.
Buddha's teachings are wisdom and enlightenment.
Wisdom and enlightenment are the door and path to happiness.
