It is better to do one thing after another than to do multiple things at the same time.
Over the past few decades, it has been generally argued whether it is better to do one thing after another than to do multiple things at the same time. Some might insist that doing multiple things at a time is more efficient than doing one thing after another because it can save much time in terms of working things to finish, while others might disagree with the statement. However, I'm quite convinced that to do one thing after another can be more easily focused for people who have their tasks to finish and increases their work efficiency. Actually, I have a couple of reasons to strengthen my opinion. I will show and develop them in the next following paragraphs below.
First, a series of step by step process can be a great way to increase your work efficiency. To do one thing among lots of tasks that you have to do after another task gives you a kind of guidance, which allows you to prioritize them. Once you prioritize a work that you have to finish in first among your lot of tasks, you can manage your works well. This process can be helpful for you not only to save your time, but also to increase your work efficiency through that way. Although some might maintain that doing multiple things simultaneously is much more efficient about a working and time than the step by step process, actually it seems totally different what it really is. // To give an example of this, I have two school friends. One always tried doing school tasks one by one, doing one thing after another. The other often did multiple tasks at the same time. At first, it was taken a lot of time that he did his school works until he finished all of them but he didn't give up. Although it was spent much time, the course of his doing lots of tasks one by one has been getting better. On the other hand, she did her school works simultaneously, not one by one. she thought it is more efficient to do so. When we were taken tasks that had to finish in an hour by our teacher, his result was much better than her's in terms of quality of their tasks, even she had not finished doing her tasks. This result indicates that a course of step by step process can be the most useful way to improve a work efficiency.
Second, a course of doing one thing after another can foster an ability of focusing on something that you are doing. When you do your homework in your house, if you try to do multiple subjects at the same time, you will be not focused easily on your one subject that you have to deal with by the complexity of many subjects. To be specific, doing various works hinder you from focusing one work, while a course of focusing on doing your works one by one increases an ability of concentration. It is efficient way to rear it. Likewise, doing multiple things at a time can be a good way to foster concentration. Even though it seems like that, actually it has nothing to do with improving it. // To give an example of this, according to a recent statistical research from Seoul University's research paper, the article deal with the topic of various way to increase an ability of focusing on things. According to the article's data of methods that can be helpful to improve it, with the data inquired 1,000 people. One of the best ways to foster it was a course of doing one thing after another. The over 80% of them agreed this option among lots of ways. On the other hand, the option of doing multiple things at the same time was disregarded by most of them. In fact, the only 5% of them agreed the option. This example reveals that doing one thing after another one by one is much more efficient that the way of doing multiple things at once. It is better to do one thing after another than to do multiple things at the same time.
