Got some time to kill on a Sunday evening at home, and I found out from a fellow fan that today is the 8th anniversary for an independent film starring Jung So-Min, called Alice: Boy from Wonderland, so I took a look into it as it was available on Youtube with English subtitle. It is a mixed genre 2-hour movie combining elements of fantasy, horror, and romance that is made with a modest budget. So-Min’s acting is good as usual, which is what attracts me to watch the movie, but I find the ML's acting is kind of expressionless. And seeing that this movie was made 8 years ago, So-Min seems like she didn’t age a day at all until today. Her youthful face today is exactly like how it was 8 years back! 😯
*Spoiler ahead*
I felt like the ending is a bit confusing though. Was Hye Joong (played by So-Min) in love with her little brother Hwan, the ML? And why was Hwan suddenly reappearing in the last scene after dying?
첫댓글 I also don't understand that part. We should ask the director 😁
As I think
Hwan is a man who died in the past
The adult image of Hwan is his imagination or an imitation of someone else
The man that "Hyejung" saw in the last scene is a similar person
焕在婴儿时期就已经去世了,长到后的模样可能是借用的其他人多。
也有可能是导演搞的伏笔😂。
i sort of remember that the priest mentioned that if a ghost's loved ones had forgotten about them after they die, the ghost will age and grow old. Thus, that's why Hwan is now an adult after 24 years because Hye-Joong has forgotten about him after he died. But then, Hwan should have gone on to be reborn by the time of the last scene. So, when he is there along with the same rabbit in the last scene, singing and all, I was left confused.
