- 영한 : 어려움에 처한, 곤란하거나 어려운 상황에 처한
- 영영 : in trouble or in a difficult situation
- 활용 : get(be) in a jam - 곤란한 상황이 생기다.
- 예문 :
I'm in a bit of a jam
난 조금 곤란해!
You are in a jam!
너 큰일 났다!
The politician is in a jam.
그 정치인은 곤경에 빠져있다.

▶ pick (one) up: ~를 차로 데리러가다
"He picks me up every morning and brings me to school."
(그는 매일 아침같이 저를 태워서 학교에 데려다줍니다.)
▶ in broad daylight: 훤한 대낮에
"I was attacked in broad daylight in the busiest part of town."
(전 훤한 대낮에 그것도 제일 바쁜 시가지에서 공격을 당한 겁니다.)
▶ pull (one's) leg: ~를 놀리다 농담하다
"I think she was pulling your leg."
(제 생각엔 그 여자가 당신을 놀린 것 같은데요.)
