Bible Matrix ⑦: Historical & Scientific Views on Daniel and Revelation
Part 2. Revelation
Revelation 2:1~7 - To the Church in Ephesus, perseverance but you have forsaken your first love
Revelation 2:7 – He who has an ear… To him who overcomes…the tree of life…
Revelation 2:7 - He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.(NIV); He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.(KJV)
○ <Revelation> 2:7 is the message of Jesus Christ to all people, not just to the church in Ephesus. It means to listen carefully to the messages that the seven spirits send to the seven churches.
○ "He who has an ear", as I already mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑦_101>, means that 'one person stands up and reads <Revelation> aloud', and the church members 'must listen carefully to what he or she is reading’.
○ As I already mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑦_108> and <Bible Matrix ⑦_109>, ‘the spirit’, not Holy Spirit, is “the seven spirits before God the Father” as written in <Revelation> 1:4, which is ‘the advanced or state-of-the-art monitoring and communication systems’ sent out into the seven continents of the world to closely monitor the kingdoms, its nations, human activities and behaviors, especially hearts and minds of human beings in heaven, earth, sea, and under the earth.
○ The meaning of “him who overcomes or wins victory” is defined in <1 John> 5:4~5, that is, (1) “He who believes that Jesus is the Son of God is the one who overcomes the world.” And (2) “but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved” in <Matthew> 24:13 is added to the definition.
☞ Note on 'him who overcomes and does my will to the end’: Also, this is the same meaning of “him who overcomes and does my will or keeps my works to the end” in <Revelation> 2:26, but here, (3) ‘him who keeps my works’ is added to the definition, and it means the one who testifies to the whole world (1) that Jesus is the Christ (or Messiah) (1 John 2:22) and Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 5:5), and (2) what Jesus did and said when he came to this world. To be specific, it refers to those who will testify the word of God the Father and the testimony of Jesus Christ (Revelation 1:2) and will die righteously (the righteous) for Jesus or will be martyred holy (the holy) for Jesus until the second coming of Jesus (c.AD 10,740~).
○ Eat of Tree of Life in the paradise of God: Those who endure and overcome until the Second Coming of Jesus (c.AD 10,740~) are given the right to eat the fruit of the tree of life in the paradise of God the Father. As I mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑦_142>, the paradise is in the third heaven (Chapters 8~10 of 2 Enoch, 2 Corinthians 12:2). It can be seen that the spirits (souls) of those who will die holy for Jesus shall go to the third heaven, paradise, and eat the fruit of the tree of life (in Paradise).
○ As I already mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑦_112>, those who overcome will participate in the first resurrection when Jesus is coming in the air over the earth, and will become priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Jesus Christ for <a thousand years> as written in the chapter 20 of <Revelation>. And, furthermore, those who overcome will be kings in <the New Jerusalem and its Nations> to be built in the new heaven and the new earth, and will drink the water of life and eat the tree of life as written in chapters 21~22 of <Revelation>.
