Emma sarcastically agrees with the caller. She then explains what is wrong with the caller's view
of love.
EMMA : Oh! Oh, you want to be passionately in love. I see. Yeah, well, you know who's a bigger
flake than your buddy, Prince Charming? His brother, Prince Passion. Reesa, if you are truly
serious about wanting to find real and lasting love in this town, I'm gonna have to dish out a little
tough love to you right now.
REESA : Uh oh.
EMMA : This serial dating of yours is a waste of time. You can't find something when you don't
know what you're looking for. You're playing the field, right? Hoping that somebody will want you ... when it's you who needs to figure out what it is you want.
A soccer game is going on. Shouting and the referee's whistle can be heard as players run
across the field.
EMMA : Anybody can fall in love, but what you deserve is a man with the emotional maturity ... to
stay in love. Don't settle for a boyfriend when you can demand a manfriend.
REESA : Well, I'm not really the demanding type.
EMMA : Uh, don't go there, Reesa. Do you hear what she's doing, listeners? That is the sound of a woman who settles for second-best. Why do we do that? I mean, deep down we know we deserve better, so why do we keep lowering our standards?
Patrick happily waves to his fiancee, Sophia, who is waiting by the car. She tries to hide her doubts and waves cheerfully as if nothing is wrong.

Oh! Oh, you want to be passionately in love. I see.
사랑에 빠진 상태를 be in love 라고 표현했다.
ex) Where are you? I'm in the classroom. He's at the office. She's in the swimming pool.
You can't find something when you don't know what you're looking for.
ex) You can't find something if you don't know what you're looking for.
Anybody can fall in love, but what you deserve is a man with the emotional maturity ... to stay in love.
Never give up. Sky is the limit등이 있다. Quit schooling. Drop out of school도 있다.
Don't settle for a boyfriend when you can demand a manfriend. Well, I'm not really the demanding type.
Not really, not necessarily
ex) Are you dying for him?(그가 좋아죽겠니?) Not really(그렇지는 않아.)
I mean, deep down we know we deserve better, so why do we keep lowering our
standards?
ex) I want you to keep trying.(나는 네가 계속 시도하기를 원해) 영어학습 역시 Keep reading, listening, writing and speaking.
