Dear My Baby Yechan
These last few days I have been very busy and I have never been happier. Although I lost quite a bit of sleep (I’m sorry, I’m working on getting better sleep these nights) I am proud of the work I have been doing.
I was hired to be a script supervisor on a movie for a student at ASU (remember being on the campus when you were in Arizona?). A script supervisor is a very important person on set. One of the most important. Without a script supervisor a movie can look really bad and there can be continuity issues (continuity: keeping things consistent because if objects, lines, or people change the final movie will not look good).
However for my job I had to multitask the entire time. The movie was 4 days 12 hours each! But I was only there for 3 days due to a wedding I attended. For my job I had to time each take from rolling to cut and action to cut. I also had to make sure the actors said the correct lines each time or write down the new lines the actors said, I had to write down what type of shot and angle the camera was positioned at, any external sounds that needed to be removed in the editing process, any extra notes, and I had to make sure I was writing all under the correct scene shot take ( ex: scene 1 act A take 3). It was very stressful but I loved and enjoyed being on set and with others who love film work as much as I do.
Working on this film set despite the late nights and long days it’s made me push myself to get back into writing. My goal is to start filming the tv show I want in the summer of 2023. I need to finish writing and planning the story. I have everything figured out but the ending of the story. So I hope you look forward to it! I plan on being the screenwriter and director! I’m super excited to finally be putting myself back into the film world after having creator’s block for almost a year.
I’ll drop some pictures of the film set experience. I took more videos which I am sad I cannot upload but I will upload the pictures I have. I’ll try to remember to send the link when the film releases next year. Should be in the spring time!
