I like to share with you about 2024 Australia Conference. It was so graceful conference that I am
happy to share with you. I give all the glory only to God who worked mightily during the
conference.
2024 Australian Summer Conference was held for 4 nights and 5 days from January 15th to 19th
at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort in Melbourne. Instead of holding the conference for 3
nights and 4 days, we decided to hold the conference for 4 nights and 5 days so that the next
generation could be more immersed in the Word and the work of testimonials could occur more
deeply. In total, 63 people attended.
Looking back at the work of God accomplished during the Melbourne Conference:
First of all, it was a conference filled with the work of the living Word. The theme was “Only
Jesus,” and the early morning sermons for two days led us to become humble and from our
hardened hearts through the word of ‘repentance.’ As we live our lives of faith, it is easy for us
to become dull in repentance and have a groundless pride, but God guided us to humble our
hearts and move to a place of repentance through the words of the early morning.
And in the first lecture, Shep. Moses Hwang spoke ‘Where are you?’ and clearly testified that
God comes to us until the end despite our sins. And He helps us discover our spiritual condition
and come back to Him.
In Lecture 2, M. Samuel Lee clearly revealed Jesus, who came to us with the words ‘It is finished’
and made the universal declaration that ‘everything is finished’ and ‘It is finished’ when he died
on the cross. Eternal redemption was achieved once and for all through the blood of Jesus, and
he testified to the word of eternal redemption so that we could once again believe in and enjoy
the amazing gospel that was given to us.
In Lecture 3, “He is risen,” was delivered by Shep. Grace Pang. In John 20, she conveyed the
meeting between Mary Magdalene and the risen Jesus well in three dimensions. Mary, who met
the risen Jesus, escaped all her sorrow and ran to the disciples with amazing joy to tell them
about the risen Jesus. Like Mary, we too must meet the risen Lord, and we testified that He is
the Lord of all things and that He is the risen Lord who stands before us now. She powerfully
preached that now we should no longer look at the tomb, which is a symbol of death, but only
look at the risen Jesus.
Lecture 4, “Feed my lambs,” was delivered by M. Luke Oh. According to the words of John 21,
Jesus forgave the disciples' sins and faults, came to them, and restored their love relationship.
Then, he asked, ‘Do you love me?’ and based on this love, Jesus said, ‘Feed my lambs.’ He
preached that all our devotion to the Lord should be based on this love. He also shared his
testimony of how Jesus came to him, who was so hopeless, accepted him as he was. Based on
Jesus’ love, he was able to be restored to serve his church again. He expressed with tears the
grace of God, who restored love relationship with him.
Second, this retreat was full of testimony and gratitude. A total of 14 shared their testimony.
Among them, we were able to see God working through His Word and making progress in their
faith. There was so much grace during the conference that there was young sister who gave her
entire two-week salary for thanksgiving offering, a person who anonymously gave more than
$1,000, people who gave $500 as offering, and many young people who gave more than $200
each as a thankgiving offering. When I calculated the offering and compared with previous
conference, it was more than three times the amount of thanksgiving offering that comes in this
conference. They gave their hearts and expressed their thanks to the Lord with a devotional
thanksgiving offering.
Park Jin-ho Gansa from Daejeon, Korea also shared his life testimony graciously. He testified to
God's grace upon him and his calling as a full time Gansa. It is a great blessing to us that there is
someone who dedicates his life to the Lord as a full-time Gansa in these days.
Thirdly, this conference was a camp where prayer worked powerfully. On the evening of the
fourth day, M. Isaac Min powerfully preached the message, ‘Be filled with the Holy Spirit.’ He
said that life as a Christian is impossible without the Holy Spirit, and he conveyed who the Holy
Spirit is personally based on the word of God.
After his message, we had a Holy Spirit prayer meeting where we prayed fervently. Many young
people came to the front to receive prayers. And the missionaries came forward, putting their
hands on each person, and prayed earnestly. During the prayer session that lasted for about two
hours, we prayed with tears and crying, and many people were touched personally by the Holy
Spirit. If we only listen to the Word, it is easy to become theoretical. However, through this
prayer meeting, the words we received were engraved in our heart and we experienced the
personal touch of the Holy Spirit.
I will conclude the report by introducing one of the testimonies that resonated the most at this
conference. A 22-year-old young sister stood before the words of the cross and so graciously
shared her testimony before the entire gathering. I like to share with you.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
By HR Kim
Perhaps I did not consider Jesus’ crucifixion death seriously enough. How much time of
agonizing pain did the kind, patient, and powerful Jesus endure? I dare not imagine or truly
empathize with His suffering. In the past, I only thought about the physical and mental anguish
Jesus endured on the cross. The persecution by the Jews, betrayal of His disciples, and the pain
of being crucified were more than enough. However, as I got to know God, I realized the
presence of God within me. Now, I cannot even fathom a life without God, too fearful to picture
God turning away.
Having come to Australia, I was cut off from the world for several years, and my only refuge was
the Lord. Moving the country separated me far from my friends, who were my everything as a
high school kid and I couldn’t make new friends as I couldn’t adapt in Australia. Quarrels and
conflict became daily occurrences, and I could no longer rely entirely on my family.
My peaceful, worry-free life was shaken, and though I had yet to deeply know God, I realized
that the one who would never leave me forever is none other than God. The word “eternity”
resonates in my heart. 22 years is still a long time, I wonder how much more does it take to go
through eternity. The Lord, who knows the weight of words, how could you say you love me
eternally.
I often cried out to God. I complained of my problems and blamed God for a long time. Although
I didn’t obey God, yet I wanted him to help me and give what I want. Even then, God heard me,
endured me, and comforted me. Even when I couldn’t bear fruit, doubted, and rebellious, the
Lord never left me. Even when I turned away, the Lord didn’t turn away, and even when I let go
of him, the Lord didn’t let go of me.
I used to worry a lot and was anxious all the time. I rather did something not because they were
enjoyable, but out of fear of bad consequences. But through the words of God, he made me
grow step by step. On the cross Jesus endured extreme pain and sufferings.
But when I looked back he only allowed hardships that I can bear and guided me to grow. From
time to time I wasn’t not aware of his presence he has walked with me faithfully 24/7. I can’t
imagine the Lord turning away from me. If God leave me I would be very sorrowful. How much
more would have Jesus felt when he was forsaken by God.
The cross represents the covenant fulfilled amid prolonged suffering. Despite knowing my sins,
Jesus came to Earth, loved me, and redeemed me. He hung on the cross for my sins, fully
accomplishing the covenant solely for me. Yet, I had forgotten this profound love. It’s
disheartening how I associated with sin, despite God’s wrath revealed on the cross. Still, Jesus
says, “I forgave you, knowing all your sins.” He liberated me, an inherently flawed being, from
sin. Jesus declared, “It is finished. You have been set free.” I am free—past, present, and future.
Even though I do not deserve God’s love, but I am free, eternally.
