For those of you that have the Gen4 cars...I did a foglight install on an 07 Altima for an older gentleman, and had the opportunity to shoot photos. This installation was done using a new factory foglight switch, and the car was NOT pre-wired for foglights. I did the installation with the bumper on the vehicle and it took app 3 hours with photo taking. Total cost on parts was around $350.
Parts Needed...
-OEM Foglight switch. Will differ depending on whether or not car has auto light system
-Depo foglights. I found them for $175 for the pair, shipped
Below needed if car is not pre-wired for fogs
-14g or 16g wire, 3 colors, 15 feet of each is plenty
-H11 pigtails, 2 (Pico p/n 5638PT)
-25 feet 1/4" split loom
-5/16" blue ring terminals (2)
-Blue butt connectors (4)
-Electrical tape
-Wire ties
-6mm Bolt w/washer. 6mm x 13mm long...1.0mm thread pitch
-(2) pins for fuse box. I got these off of a wrecked car's harness...Not necessary, wires can be pushed into slots.
Tools Needed
-Flat blade screwdriver
-Phillips screwdriver (#2)
-Wire strippers and crimper
-10 mm wrench or socket/ratchet
-Floor jack, not necessary, but helps. I used the incline on my driveway, ramps would work, or even putting the nose of the car over a curb.
Check to see if car is 'Pre-wired' for fog lights
Easiest way to do this is to look under the fuse cover in the engine compartment.
-Fuse Box
-If there are wires in the 2 positions inside the yellow box, the car is pre-wired, this one is not

-Remove screws in shroud around steering column, one on each side.
-Turn steering wheel 90 degrees to access.
-Top piece can be popped off after removal of screws.
-Remove 2 screws holding in switch assembly
-Lift switch up to gain access to plug for switch assembly.
-Use screwdriver to depress tab on plug while gently pulling switch away
-Plug in new switch and reassemble steering column shroud in reverse order.
-Pic of new switch installed
-Remove center, engine splash guard
-Total of 11 plastic clips, 7 along front, 4 in rear
-Use flat blade screwdriver to pop up center portion of clips, then pull out
-Remove 6 Phillips head screws that attach front bumper to fender liners. 3 on each side
-Tug on fender liner a little and it can be pulled away from the bumper to allow easier access
-Remove fog light covers
-Reach up on top of fog light cover and remove single bolt, 10mm head
-No pic on car, just feel up there and you will find it
-Once bolt is removed, push on front of cover to pop loose from metal clip
-Pic below gives an idea...Hole in top is where bolt is, slot in bottom is for metal clip, tabs on sides are for alignment
-Install fog light housings. Reuse bolts taken out of covers
-Pic of housing installed...Knurled piece on bottom is the adjustor for aiming the light
-Pic of wires run into the fuse box.
-I uses a small screwdriver to push the existing wire loom to the side and snake the new ones in.
-I used electrical tape around these wires inside the fuse box to finish off and make look OEM
-The plug in the fuse box is of a similar construction to the one shown below.
-This style of connector is meant to be serviceable and pops apart.
-Use a small flat blade screwdriver inside of slots to push the locking cage on the plug towards the front of the connector.
-Insert new pins, paying attention to how the others are inserted, and close connector.
-Now all that is left is to run your wires to each light.
-I used 1/4" split loom around the 2 wires coming out from the fuse box.
-**Wrap the ends your split loom with electrical tape, it will stop the wires from trying to come out. Same thing if you have a wire exiting loom, but the loom continues on.
-I ran the power wires straight down behind the driver's side headlight, and then across to the passenger's side.
-The ground from the passenger's side light comes back across to the driver's side and both are grounded at a common point.
-I found this threaded hole on the driver's side, and while I know it is a 6mm bolt, I am unsure of the thread pitch...about 1/2" long with a washer on the bolt.
-Below is a pic after routing the wire to the passenger's side of car.
-The plug shown there in the lower grille opening is for the outside air temp thermometer on the car.
-There is enough room between the bumper cover and bumper itself to tuck the 1/4" wire loom in there, and it will hold snugly. Look where yellow line is, you'll get an idea.
-Turn headlight switch to on, and then the fog light switch (the fog lights will only operate with the low beams on, and they also cut out with high beam operation)
-Plug H11 pigtails into fog lights.
-Touch bare ends to power and ground wires before connecting with butt connectors to ensure correct polarity.
-I wrapped electrical tape from the base of the H11 connectors to the split loom.
Finishing Up
-Verify operation of both lights.
-Check your install again for any dangling wires, etc
-Pull car up to a wall and aim the fog lights by turning the adjustors on the bottom of the lights.
-Replace all panels on car...
-**Fog lights can also be adjusted with the car reassembled through this hole on each side
-Enjoy the lights!!! :D I know that they made a difference on the car that I worked on.

향후 2010년형도 안개등 없는차량은 다이가 가능할 것으로 예상되는군여~ 좋은자료^^7
2009년형 부품은 얼마전에 가격도 내렸더군요... 안개등 어셈블리 + 스위치 세트로 179달러인가 합니다.
다만 아쉬운건 안개등에서 퓨즈박스로 연결해주는 케이블은 없습니다.
