I have been working here for around 4 years. It takes less than one
hour to get to the workplace by car. When I started to work here, I
didn't have a car. Fortunately there were co-workers who live in the
same town. They gave me a warm welcome. At that time there were 4 inclouding
me.
After a year, the member of the carpool came to be extended to 5. At
that time it was not a carpool, but a car-full. We were like a real
family.
On the way home we detoured to drop by somewhere for fun. Sometimes
we went to the opposite way to the hometown. We enjoyed ourselves a
lot.
But there happened a crisis. The age of the members was so broad,
from twenties including me, to forties. As time was going on, the gap
between the young and the old got bigger and bigger. At last there was
a conclusive incident this April. There was a misunderstanding. We got
split to two groups. I was so sad. At that time all of us had our own
car. So there was no problem about how to get to work. The atmosphere
was so weird. But nobody pretended to have something wrong. Just I thought
time would cure this pain.
Then, this October in the other carpool group, a co-worker couldn't
drive any more because he got hurt on his leg. (for
reference, in each group, the member drove every 2 day. it's so tiring
to drive everyday.) We thought we had to help them. We came to get together
again. Actually as a young person, I didn't feel good after the split.
Because i didn't want to hurt their feelings. Today we had a special
dinner and a tea time.
I felt a familyship again. Even though we
misunderstood each otehr for the trivial thing,
I think we could understand each other more. We might leave the workplace
next year. I hope we could keep the familyship
in mind for a long time.. |
