Woke up somewhere.
I wasn't allowed to do a very very early morning check-in because I was at the hotel at 7 am. They couldn't give me my room yet because the cheaper/smaller rooms were booked. The young owner offered the biggest room for a fraction of the cost so I could use the room and rest from 7 til noon. I was really tired so I took the offer and paid 250k. I bathed, brushed my teeth and rested.
12 noon I needed to go out of the room and wait for my 2 pm reserved room. So I left my things at the lobby and went to get a recommended by a blog banh mi and booked an appointment to have a proper pedicure. I took a grab car, got my banh mi and ate while getting my feet cleaned haha and it also had a foot & leg scrub . Sorry, I was very very hungry haha like I am now while typing.
After, I took a grab back to the hotel but first got a drink. But it wasn't enough haha, so I walked further and got another slushy drink.
Check-in time and then work til past 5. Walked around the neighborhood to look for food. I was hoping to eat on the streets like in the north but I didn't see any. Most were restaurants. I ended up eating in a simple resto beside the hotel.
Breakfast next day, another blog recommendation. Took a grab bike to go to this place. Was it worth it? Hmmmmm it was alright. First broth sip was tasty, but as I was eating more, I was getting tired of it hahaha. It was a very big bowl with all the types of meat included. After breakfast, went to a family mart near the hotel and bought me some dessert and snacks while I worked.
It rained that afternoon and it was okay because the country needs the rain and it would make the weather a bit cooler.
Time to look for dinner. I walked going to the market mostly for tourists because I remember a long time ago that there were many food places, stalls around that area. I looked for rice because I missed rice haha and I don't want to eat or drink any soup for the meantime hahaha. While walking, I wasn't able to see anything I liked yet so I thought I'd go back to the hotel's neighborhood and go to a restaurant I saw the night before.
I kept walking going around until I saw this sidestreet vendor selling rice. Yay! I ordered the full plate and while waiting there was a banana vendor. I tried that first, haha appetizer - grilled banana with coconut cream.
And then it started raining really hard, I got a little wet. But the table I had was under a building's extended roof, so still all good.
Passed by a convenience store and bought more hahaha.
Final day
Breakfast ordered thru Grab. Sticky rice with chicken and worked a little before going out to buy food/drinks I'd bring home. Oh, I also needed to exchange money the night before because of the "pasalubong". Bought tea, coffee, juice and some cooking stuff. Passed by a fruit vendor too and bought sliced mini pineapples for lunch. Which I am sort of regretting because I'm gassy for sometime now hahaha. Needed to do a lot of tooting, hotel, immigration, gate hahaha.
5 pm, got my last vietnamese massage. A foot massage at the hotel. Felt sooooooooooooooo good and the hotel staff were really nice too. My masseuse didn't touch my bruise but she was always looking at it because maybe she might hurt it. I told her that I got it on a motorbike haha.
There was a chinese family who wanted to get a massage too, they were hotel guests as well and they were asking for a discount hahaha. I heard it and said me too discount hahaha as a joke. My masseuse and I laughed. I didn't get the discount and just gave my change as a tip because that really felt so nice especially when she put pressure on the top of the toes and ankles. Don't be fooled by the skin color, I'm more brown that that haha.
Now here at the airport waiting for my 1 am flight. I'm regretting not trying to sleep in the afternoon but I couldn't really because I was working.
Anyway, that's my 21-days.
I hope I entertained some of you.
The craziness of being alone, talking to myself, asking questions and answering myself. Making a joke and laughing at my own joke lol. Just a plain old crazy person by nature.
Your Pudgy Panda
Your Digital Shinobi, Chenobi, Pulubi
(I still have $ left, haha but it'll be used to pay for my card expenses during my 21 days 😄)
p.s. My past client contacted me if I'm available for some hours every week. Thinking about it til now because it's the client that has a podcast and got me sleepy while listening hahaha.
