On a hill in front of them stood a great castle.
The terrible sight made people shudder.
"추상명사+of A"는 문맥에 따라 "A를 ...
The boy`s invention of the machine surprised us.
He is leaving for London next Sunday.(가까운 미래)
1)It is expected that prices will rise.
2)The window was closed by itself.
"learn to..." 이때 "learn to..."는 "get to...", "come to..."
I learn to realize that I was wrong.
7_ "go+보어"의 번역
A lot of people in Africa go hungry.
I had my photograph taken by my father.
9_ "need(require, want)+동명사" 구문 번역
This radio needs(wants) repairing (to be repaired).
The sheer fact of finding myself loved was unbelievable.
11_ "There is no A like B"
There is no place like home.
12_ "When"은 언제나 "...
When이 이끄는 절을 "...
When you finish the letter, be sure, there are no mistakes.
He stood there with a cigarette in his mouth.
14_ "what, where 절을 대신하는 형식 목적어 it" 번역
형식목적어 it는 부정사구, 동명사구, that뿐만 아니라 if, whether, who, what, when, how 등으로 시작하는 명사절을 대신한다.
I think it doubtful whether he is free now.
Do you know the fact at all? (at all, whatever(의문, 부정문 강조)
feel, smell, taste, sound (주어는) ...
become, fall, go, grow, turn (주어는) ...
seem, appear, look (주어는) ...
keep, remain, continue (주어는) ...
prove, turn out (주어는) ...
chance, happen (주어는) 우연히 ...하다
18_ "S+V+O+OC(to부정사) 구문"
I want you to be happy.
S+V+IO+DO형 문장에서 직접 목적어로 명사절(that, how, why, where, when, what, who, which, if, whether가 이끄는 절)이 오는 경우, 절 전체에다 직접 목적격 조사 "을, 를"을 붙이지 말고" ...(은)지, (는)지" 와 같은 연결사를 활용하여 자연스럽게 문장을 연결해야 전체문장이 매끄럽다.
예)I asked him if he was telling the truth.
Just when I was busiest, he must come and spend three hours.

2)He will often come to see me on Sundays.
3)This will be your baggage, I suppose.
Mother, who wouldn`t swim, stayed on the beach.
23_ "If...were to∼구문"의 번역
If were to be reborn, I would want to be a boy.
make, call, find, grow, keep, leave, turn

2) She will make a good wife.
3) She made him her husband.
25_ "부정어+because∼"의 번역
I did not leave him because he was poor.

27_ "if" 번역
You must do the work, if you do not like it.
Just as whales evolved from land dwelling creatures, so carburetors evolved from perfume sprays.
For us to back out the agreement, would create much resentment.
