Students who achieve a minimum of 75/100 in their final TRAN820 examination, assessed by an internal marker and moderated by an external one, and have completed a minimum of 75 hours practicum in translation will be recommended for NAATI accreditation in translation at a professional level through our program.
MASTER OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETING
One and half years full-time, 40 credit points, starting: March, July for all languages available.
Students who complete 7 core units and 4 optional units, obtaining 40 credit points, will be awarded a Master of Translation and Interpreting as an academic degree.
Those MA students wishing to obtain NAATI accreditation should complete PG Dip units depending on their accreditation options.
Please note that while we make recommendations about accreditation, NAATI is the actual accrediting institution. For this reason, students should pay their fees for their accreditation according to the NAATI rules:

All fees include the relevant certificate/s and first Directory entry.

1. Initial application fee of $75 for first application to NAATI should be added to the above fee when applicable.
2. The fees quoted are for 12004/05. NAATI fees are normally reviewed annually and may
increase from 1 July each year.
3. NAATI fees and costs may be tax deductible.
