Thousands of people are trying to head from Africa to Europe. Those people use Libya as a departing point, with the Italian island of Lampedusa the nearest European destination as they undertake the dangerous journey across the Mediterranean to escape war, poverty and persecution. Furthermore, there is arguing that the operation of the rescue ships encourages people to head to Europe. However, as a humanitarian perspective, lifeboats play an important life-saving role. Without them, many people would be at greater risk of losing their lives at sea.
It's really complicated but need to work together to solve. It's about people's lives. I badly hope there is a better, much much better solution to create safer and more legal migration routes for refugees and migrants.
