Getting ready
Frank's waiting for a meeting with Ms. Smith.
Frank: Hello, I'm here for the meeting with Ms. Smith.
Mary: Oh, yes. Are you Mr.Watson?
Frank: Yes, I am. I'm running a bit late. There was a fender bender on the highway, so traffic was a mess.
Mary: That's all right. I think that Ms. Smith is caught up in the same traffic. She phoned me to say that she's going to be running late as well.
If you have a seat, she would be in any minute now. Can I get you anything while you wait?
Frank: Thanks, but I'm fine. Is there an outlet I could use? The battery on my laptop is dead.
Mary: Sure, there's one right over there. Do you need anything else?
Frank: Well, do you know if there's a printer that I can use? I have some material for Ms. Smith and I didn't have time to print it out at my office.
Mary: Sure. If you put it on a disk or a USB drive, I can print it out here for you. How many copies do you need?
Frank: Just two. Thanks, I really appreciate it.
Mary: Don't mention it. I don't mind at all.
Frank: So what's Ms. Smith like? I heard from one of the other managers that she's known for her temper.
Mary: I don't know where that rumor came from. I've been working with her for a month and I've never seen her lose her cool.
Frank: That's good to hear. I'm afraid that I have some bad news for her today.
