PAY RANGE:
KGS-10: Between 28,626 Won and 41,540 Won per hour
KGS-11: Between 30,619 Won and 44,488 Won per hour
TOUR OF DUTY: 40 hours per week (Regular tour of duty)
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current USFK KN employees serviced by Area III & North Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, CHRA-FER
NOTE: 1. Target Grade of this position is KGS-11. If the position is filled at the lower grade than target grade, the incumbent may be promoted to target grade non-competitively upon satisfactory completion of the job requirements, recommendation by the supervisor, and subject to meeting time-in-grade and qualification requirements. 2. Relocation Allowance will NOT be authorized for the selectee from outside the commuting area. 3. Under the Yongsan Relocation Plan (YRP), individual moves of the selectee from Area II to other Areas will be authorized by the YRP moving services processes as stipulated in Civilian Human Resources Transformation Guidance. Relocation allowance will be authorized for the selectee from Area II Yongsan if applicable and all requirements in paragraph 8-13 (Relocation Allowance) of USFK regulation 690-1 are met. 4. To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, USFK will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees. USFK may request information and receive submission of vaccination documentation from employees and selected applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols based on vaccination status, such as masking, periodic testing, physical distancing, travel limitation and quarantine. 5. This position has been designated as KN EMERGENCY-ESSENTIAL (MISSION ESSENTIAL). KN EE (ME) Position Agreement Form (USFK Form 200EK) must be signed prior to appointment of the selectee for this position.
MAJOR DUTIES:
KGS-11: Serves as Production Controller with responsibility for the renovation program which encompasses renovation, modification and normal maintenance of a wide variety of ammunition including guided missiles and large rockets, bulk propellants, complete ammunition items, loaded components and ammunition packing materials. Instructs all KN employees assigned to ammunition maintenance program including administrative personnel and maintenance line coordinators. Conducts the various training and coordinates with ROKA operating officials on necessary modification to the production facilities for special maintenance operations. Insures that the technical requirements for each maintenance operation are clearly identified to the ROKA Commander and Maintenance Officer, and that the requisite supplies and equipment are provided in sufficient time to insure efficient and effective use of ROKA manpower and facilities. Provides technical assistance to ROKA regarding line layout and work methods. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
EXPERIENCE:
KGS-10: One year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-9 or equivalent.
KGS-11: One year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-10 or equivalent
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible technical experience in the specialty field in which the duties of the position are to be performed or in closely related lines of work. This experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, the specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY: 1. The American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT) score of 60 and Management Panel Approval are required. 2. The passing score of former English Language Proficiency Test (“A” series) may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. 3. The TOEFL score of 450 (score of 133 on the computer-based test; score of 45 on the internet-based test) or TOEIC score of 550 may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. TOEFL and TOEIC scores are valid for up to two years from the examination date. When selected applicant(s) do not have a valid test score, they will be tested with the ALCPT on post, or they may voluntarily elect substitute testing of the TOEFL/TOEIC off post.
