Dear Kevin,
I'm going to make an effort to try and write periodically. Not promising daily letters, but like more than 6 in a year. We're on 3 now which means whoa we're halfway there~ And I can't keep up the subtitle shtick. Not because there's only so many "THE __" ones that use your album names I can make work topically. Also, because if I just started naming then any way they would get super long. Like Fall Out Boy song title long. Not in the mood to try my luck against the character limit hoping not to get a strike.
Speaking of character limits, happy 50 days on bubble! 🥳 I got it wrong in my guess earlier about when the limit increase comes but we've finally made it. No more 30 character hell, Latin alphabet users cheered! Now I'll actually be able to speak without truncating. A breath of fresh air. Crazy that it's been that long already. The passage of time is so weird. I feel like you guys just wrapped promo for Roar, what do you mean it's already April and Easter is this weekend?
My March was not as eventful as yours, but I had a few good moments. I got to see Moulin Rouge on Broadway! It was showing in town and I got a few work friends together to go. My knowledge on musicals isn't very broad so I'm trying to watch more. I know it's critically acclaimed and it was one of the things inspiring your O Sole Mio kingdom performance, so I said I had to see it. And boy did it deliver. The actually did a twist on the music and incorporated modern songs in a lot of scenes. They wre singing, Gaga, CeeLo, Whitney, Britney, oh you woulda loved it Kev. The set design and the stage props were gorgeous. They had pieces of the backdrops that faked perspective and it was kinda trippy. Being all the way in the back on the left side and seeing the buildings converge on a vanishing point going the wrong way messed with me. But oh what a show I must say. Also, I have to thank you for that short list of musicals you mentioned on bubble. I'm taking them as recommendations to go thru 😁
Later in the month I went to a concert for this all-girl band Meet Me @ the Altar. They're pretty new on the scene so it was just a small show, but it was so good. The vibes were great, I got a good view, we had a circle pit going a couple times. Super rad. They've got this song called Kool and it kinda reminds me of you. Pretty sure pop punk isn't your speed, but just tossing it in as a recommend cause I do think you're cool and it's spelled with a K so like duh. They also dropped their first full album early March which I have been living for and I picked up a physical copy at the show. I'm making it my mission to support them cause having more women and especially women of color in the scene is important. Like this is the band I needed when I was younger, so I want them to be that group that other young alt girls can connect to. Ooh not me sounding like a sappy elder emo bye 😭 All that to say I'm claiming them as my nieces and I just want them to succeed idc.
Now I gotta take this time to hype you and all your things from last month and beyond. Masked Singer, you getting to show off your smarts, the ReStyle exhibit, Hwaiting. Kevin Moon you are on the map! And now y'all got this spiderman collab going? Is this the big thing you've been hinting at forever cause if it's still something else I could not imagine 👀 And also there's the fact that we have no idea what *gestures vaguely* this is. A cameo? An OST? A chance to hear your guys do more voice work (which you excel at btw and I would love to hear more)? Like way to add to the anticipation of a movie I was already hype for eeek. Looking forward to whatever this is and everything you have that's still to come. Crossing my fingers it'll lead to me seeing you in person again 🤞🏾 Happy Easter and enjoy Paris! 💖
