Hi, baby Eric 💕
Came back with another adventure story ㅋㅋㅋ
~
The initial plans for yesterday were basketball in the park, axe throwing, and then a walk/semi-hike in one of the national parks in the area.
~
I haven't played basketball since I was in high school. I wasn't brilliant back then, but I wasn't bad either. And it turns out I am still okayish ㅋㅋㅋ
We started by splitting into teams, me and my younger brother(Edi) in one team, and my oldest brother(Alex) and his girlfriend(Coretta) in the other. Edi already mentioned that he is not good at basketball, but we promised to do our best. We lost, but it was a tight game. And I was actually the MVP in my team ㅋㅋㅋ
We then took a short break, and Alex suggested that we play guys against girls. Just before we started, Alex asked if us, girls, are alright playing against guys, “in this unfair world”. It was such a tight match. At one point, I literally ran out of breath from too much effort and too much laughing. But, “in this unfair world” girls won 🎉 and I actually scored the winning point. It felt good.🥰 (I forgot how competitive I can get when I know something is within my capabilities)
We played a few more individual games, Coretta took first place, Edi second, and Alex and I had to play rock-paper-scissors to decide who was the loser, because none of us managed to score – I ended up taking 3rd place ㅋㅋㅋ

The axe throwing turned out to be a good stress reliving method. Not to mention, good training for a zombie apocalypse ㅋㅋㅋ
I can shoot arrows, I can shoot an automatic gun, and I am not too bad at axe throwing (not good enough to completely take out a zombie, but I can definitely slow it down) – so you can always count on me ㅋㅋㅋ
I lost all the axe throwing games, but it was fun.

After that, we went to my brother's place to eat, and then we headed out for the semi-hike. While I was waiting for my brother to finish the steaks, I noticed that my right ankle was in pain. I thought I strained my muscles too much, and the soreness was kicking in. I really felt the need to click it, but I just couldn't.
When we made it to the national park and I stepped out of the car, I realized that the more weight I put on my right foot, the more pain I was in. It turns out I sprained my ankle. And I didn't realize earlier because I was riding on the adrenaline from the basketball game(and probably a bit of paranoia induced adrenaline involving the axes). I ended up being a burden for everyone. Alex even gave me a piggyback ride.
If we skip the sprained ankle, yesterday was a lot of fun. Since it is only slightly bruised and swollen, and today the pain level decreased to 50% of what it was yesterday, I will recover quickly.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I am just happy The Boyz concert is not around the corner because that would have definitely made me panic.
Since I need to rest the ankle until it gets better, there will be no more adventure stories coming up♀️
~
Yesterday got me thinking... this is my first time actually getting a sprain and the pain is just 🥺 so I am wondering how you manage to put up with the pain when you get something like that and you cannot afford to take time off from your schedules...
~
I hope the practices are going well. Only 4 days left now 🎉Just make sure to eat well, rest, and do not overdo it during practice.
The retired adventurer 😅 will now go eat some breakfast.
I hope you are having a good day, baby Eric!
