Hellooooo, Kevin!
It’s Ryna with many many hobbies and Zeneration BKK tickets secured!
Sunday was the ticketing day. It was stressful, ngl. It’s somehow the day Elon decided to be incompetent. Twitter was kaput (did you know I took 1 course of German? I can count to 10 and say things like ‘Ich spreche kein Deutsch.’ Very useful.)
Anyway, there was a little bit of chaos bc people were panicking and they couldn't see other people's tweets so the panicking got worse. It was that kind of stressful. I didn’t really check twitter until later though.
I told my friends about the ticketing and they said they’d wake up early to help me. They did. One of them I’ve known since we were like 9-10 y/o. The other one I met in high school. I’m so grateful they’re both still in my life and willing to help me with this. I told them that.
I’m going both days and I’ll get to attend soundcheck for one of them (not sure about the other one yet.) At first, I thought getting tickets for Saturday would be easy because there are many other concerts that day. There’s ATEEZ, not so far from the venue you’ll be at (imagine if you guys film some silly videos together, it’ll be SO CUTE!) Exo-SC will also have a fan-meeting that day across town. There’s also a concert of a famous Thai boy band (I was like 10 when they debuted.) There’s also a concert of girl groups, BNK48 & CGM48 (sister groups of AKB48). There’s probably more, but that’s all I can think of.
How do I know all that, you asked? I’m just a very informed person.
August 5th in Thailand will be a very busy day for concert goers. Oh, god, imagine the traffic!
Let’s go back to my point. What I was saying was I thought getting tickets on Saturday would be easy since some people were going to ateez and exo-sc instead (I’ll teach you how to say “did you cheat on us yesterday?” in Thai later lol). It was easy enough for me, but NOT easy for everybody. It’s quite a battle. I couldn’t help but feel proud of you guys because out of all those concerts happening on the same day, a lot of people chose to go see you.
Ticketing for Sunday’s showing was a bloodbath. We divided into 2 groups. I was getting Saturday and my friends were tryna get Sunday. I got a good seat in the first try, and I was SO CONFUSED because it seemed too easy. My friends weren’t so lucky. We had to sit there refreshing the page tryna get a Sunday seat for like 45 minutes until we finally got one. All the while, my friends were complaining about the ticket site and how weak their server is. She was like, ‘I’ve been going to kpop concerts for 10 years and the site hasn’t improved at all.’ They’re my ticketing seniors. My friend’s an og army (like, wayyy back when it was easy to meet bts). The first kpop concert I’d ever been to was The B Zone last year, though.
Anyway, anyway, anyway, this letter is taking me too long to write already.
I’m just here to tell you the good news and how you guys are even more loved here than last year; this is a fact backed up by the decreasing number of available seats.
I’m gonna go now. Hope you have a good rest. Thank you (not sure what for but I feel like saying it.) Be safe!
Love you (strictly platonically),
Ryna x
