어제는 강풍을 동반한 눈이 내렸습니다.
봄맞이에 설레이던 자연과 인간을 멈칫하게 하는 전형적인 겨울의 모습이었습니다.
이번주 일기예보를 보면 최저기온이 -1도에서 -4도를 보여주고 있습니다.
이번 겨울은 무척이나 길게 느껴집니다.
그래도 봄은 지척에 와있습니다^^
캐나다 시민권 문제입니다.
30분의 시험시간이 주어지며 4지선다형으로 20문제중 12문제(60점)을 맞추면 합격입니다.
선거와 관련된 마지막 5개는 꼭 맞춰야 합니다.
못맞추면 날잡아서 시민권 판사와 개별 인터뷰를 해야합니다.
찍기의 달인인 우리 한국인은 10분이면 쉽게 풀수 있습니다.
문제는 캐나다 이민국에서 우송해준 47페이지 책자 " A Look at Canada"에서만 나옵니다.
여기서 시민권판사(citizenship judge)는 일반 법정의 판사가 아니고 연방 이민국 소속으로 시민권전담 판사입니다.
각 지역에서 명망 높은 분들입니다. 사업가,변호사,자원봉사자...지원자중에서 선택합니다.
캐나다 전역에는 24명의 시민권 판사가 있는데 Atlantic Region에는 오직 한명만 있습니다.
Halifax에서 사업을 하는 Linda Carvey흑인 여자분이 시민권 판사입니다.
그런데 시험이나 이너뷰 아주 쉽습니다^^
전혀 덜덜 떠실 필요 없습니다.
평소에 캐나다에 관심을 가진 분이라면 하루이틀 시간내셔서 쭉 읽어 보고 가시면 100점^^
저의 경우 먼저 시험을 보고(10분),이너뷰 대기(10분),이너뷰(5분)...총 25분 정도 걸렸습니다.(단지 저의 경우입니다)
인터뷰(=이너뷰ㅋㅋ)는 CIC직원이 하는데 여권에 찍혀 있는 stamp의 history,
특히 시민권 신청에 기재하지 않은 날짜는 생각해 가셔야 할듯 합니다.
예컨데, 이날 미국 왜 갔냐하면 미국 국경에서 Drive Permit 발급 받은 날이라든가 뱅골 몰 당일 쇼핑 갔다왔다 등등...
시민권 선서 일자, 장소는 2주전에 우편으로 갈거라는 둥 혼자서 많은 말을 합니다.
